Two Pit Bulls Attack Man In The Bronx, And It Was Recorded [Warning: Graphic Content]

Pit bulls were set loose on a 62-year-old man in the Bronx after the man got into an argument with owner Cynthia Oliver, 55.

While it’s no secret that pit bull attacks can cause a lot of damage, society is often spared the fallout with most of the carnage relegated to news reports.

Unfortunately, this time it was caught on video, which you can watch below courtesy the Daily Mail. A word of warning, though. This isn’t for the squeamish.

The man tries to fend off the pit bulls but is eventually taken to the ground and mauled. There’s no mistaking what the red substance is coming out of him.

Just watching this thing will make you wonder how in the world he survived it. Fortunately, he did, as did a second 46-year-old victim, who was bitten by one of the dogs while trying to rescue the man.

Both were taken to the hospital for treatment while — NBC New York reports — the woman was “charged with assault and reckless endangerment.”

The target of the pit bulls’ attack was left with a severed right ear as well as lacerations to the chest and arm. The 46-year-old suffered lacerations to his arm.

Police decided to charge Oliver when it was revealed that she intentionally let the dogs off their leash during the argument.

Here’s the full thing if you think you can stomach it.

The video was captured by a woman in an upstairs apartment, who was also calling authorities as she captured the footage.

“They’re attacking a man… He’s in the street bleeding. I’m upstairs watching this out [of] my window,” she frantically tells the dispatcher.

Somehow the victim was able to walk away from the scene after spectators managed to pull the dogs away from him.

With some of the vicious pit bull attacks reported in the past, it’s important to note that each of the people, who stepped in were endangering their own lives.

The dogs are currently in the custody of Animal Care and Control. No word yet as to whether they will be put down or whether Oliver will be allowed to retain ownership if not.

What do you think about a situation like this one, readers?

Do you think Oliver should be charged with a crime for letting the dogs off their leash, and should these two pit bulls be euthanized as a result of their actions? Sound off in the comments section below.
