It is no secret that Comedy Central funnyman Jon Stewart and the team at Fox News have never gotten along and now Fox News Chief Roger Ailes’ is calling him out for being a socialist.

According to Ailes the two men were at a bar together when Stewart made the comment.

Ailes was speaking at Ohio University on Monday night when he said Stewart “wouldn’t do well without Fox. And he basically has admitted to me, in a bar, that he’s a socialist.”

Notice the very carefully crafted “basically” which in the world of journalism speak equates to “here’s our slanted take on the subject.”

There is no hiding the fact that Fox News has become Jon Stewart’s favorite target and Robert Ailes’ isn’t exactly a fan of Stewart, in 2010 he called the comedian “crazy” and then claimed that Stewart “makes a living by attacking conservatives” which sounds about right.

As expected Robert Ailes then attacked his left leaning competitors for their own bias, noting:

“Media Matters writes all of the primetime programming for MSNBC.” He also claimed that “MSNBC is out of the news business” and that “Brian Williams, a sincere newsman, wouldn’t want to be caught dead over there.”

In what might be the funniest joke of the night Ailes claims that Fox News unlike other news agencies “Invites liberal voices to engage in dialogue.”

The worst of offenders however seems to be New York Times which the Fox News chief called a “cesspool of bias” while their reporters are just a “bunch of lying scum.”

Then again its hard to call others out for news bias when “Basically” is the word you use to talk about a subject, news is suppose to be fairly concrete not based around what “basically” happened.
