‘SNL’ Star Pete Davidson Honors His Father Who Died On 9/11
In his comedy, SNL star Pete Davidson has been open about his father’s death. His father, Scott Davidson, was a firefighter that responded to the attacks on 9/11. Sadly, Davidson’s father perished during the 9/11 attacks.
Davidson has always used comedy to remember his father. After all, he was only 7-years-old when his father’s unit went into the Marriott World Trade Center Hotel. It was destroyed after when the Twin Towers collapsed.
On the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 attack, the comedian took to Twitter to remember his father. Pete Davidson’s signature brash comedy made its way into the remembrance.

Although his initial post was humorous, Pete did leave room to make a separate emotional post about his father
On Twitter he posted a collage of photos with his father and captioned it, “All jokes aside. There’s not a day that goes by where I dont think of u. Ur my hero. Cant wait to see u again someday.”

As stated, this isn’t the first time Pete has used comedy when talking about his father’s death. During the Justin Bieber roast on Comedy Central, he shocked many by saying that he always regretted growing up without a father, but then he met Justin Bieber’s father.
Pete Davidson is one of the youngest cast members to join SNL. When he made his first appearance as a player on the show, he was immediately met with an enthusiastic response, with comparisons to Adam Sandler.
