Critics Accuse Leah Messer Of Using Child Support Money To Fund Alleged Drug Addiction
Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is still in hot water for her alleged addiction to prescription medication. Several Twitter critics are worried that the 23-year-old is using her daughters’ child support money to fund her addiction.
Details of Leah’s divorce with Jeremy Calvert reveal that while her former husband will keep their West Virginia abode, the MTV actress will be receiving $1,700 per month as support for their 2-year-old daughter, Adalynn.

Apart from Jeremy, Corey Simms also has a financial obligation to Leah for their 5-year-old twins, Ali and Aleeah. While some question how Leah spends the child support money from her two ex-husbands, some came to her defense highlighting the cost of raising three kids. It is significant to note as well that caring for Ali incurs additional expenses because of her battle with a rare form of muscular dystrophy.
As reported by Ok Magazine, the Teen Mom 2 actress confirmed the reason behind her divorce with Jeremy. In a scene for the reality show, she cited her “spending problem” as well as her “anxiety” and “depression” as the roots of her marital woes.
In another scene, Jeremy likewise believes that his former wife might be abusing prescription pills.
“Too many issues stressing me out. She takes prescription pills for her anxiety. I don’t know if that sh—t f—ks with her or what. It’s obvious she has an addiction issue. I’m just done. She has no f—king goals. I don’t know what happened to the girl I fell in love with.”
The Teen Mom 2 star once admitted that she took painkillers Hydrocodone, Percocet, and Tylenor 3 when she had Adalynn because she needed help for her back pain. She also said that upon realizing that her usage of painkillers might become a problem, she stopped taking the drugs.
Despite Leah’s denial, Corey is firm with his accusations.
Corey is yet to speak about his alleged tryst with Leah. Instead of talking about the welfare of their daughters during a recent meeting, an InTouch Weekly insider reported that the two got intimate in the back of Corey’s work truck. As per Radar Online, Corey already made a confession to his pregnant wife Miranda.
“He’s admitted the affair to Miranda. It’s a huge mess and all their friends know about it.”
The tryst might have an effect as well to Leah’s relationship with personal trainer Theodore “T.R.” Dues.
