Katy Perry’s Movie Documents Divorce From Russell Brand

Neither Katy Perry or Russell Brand have disclosed why they divorced so suddenly after the two were attached to the hip, but soon that will change.

Katy Perry is making a lot of changes in her life as of late. She unfollowed Brand from Twitter, broke up with her rocker musician rebound, and now she reveals to Ellen DeGeneres that her new film Part of Me will document the marriage and subsequent divorce from comedian Russell Brand.

Perry, 27, discussed with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres how she came to the decision of opening up apart of herself that wasn’t pretty to the world saying, “I thought it was important to show everything in between. I think sometimes people think that we’re perfect and we know we’re not perfect, at all.”

This sit down is just days after Brand sat down with Ellen to discuss his feelings on Katy Perry. The rocker/comedian admitted that he still has feelings from his ex, stating that he’s still in love with his estranged wife.

While Katy Perry went on to tell Ellen why it was so important for her to base the film in her reality rather than give a sugar coated version, “I think it’s important to start breaking down the idea that to achieve your dream you always have to be perfect or flawless or live in some kind of fantasy world. So that’s why I decided to put everything into the film.”

Do you think the world should be able to see the dissolution of Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s marriage or is this going too far?
