Good Morning America reports that Jon and Kate Gosselin’s “controversy is likely to boost attention and ratings for the couple’s TLC show” with the season opener just days away on May 25.
According to Good Morning America on the Jon and Kate affair:
One thing is for sure: The controversy is likely to boost attention and ratings for the couple’s TLC show. When season five premieres May 25, viewers will tune in to see if the Gosselins, parents of 8-year-old twin girls and 5-year-old sextuplets, address their offscreen troubles on the show.
The show is obviously taking advantage of the current publicity around the show’s cast. On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times said that the first episode of Jon and Kate plus 8 was not yet completed because producers were still trying to figure out how to incorporate the latest tabloid headlines and buzz into the show.
“We are in production for season five and moving forward as planned, while fully supporting the family and respecting their needs as they work through this challenging time,” a TLC spokeswoman, Laurie Goldberg, said in a statement to ABCNews.com. “This show has always been about a real family dealing with real-life situations, and that will continue to be the case for the new season.”

I think this parent are exploiting their children. This is so sad when these parents lose their values just to make a dollar. These type of people make me sick and CPS should consider removing these children for their own good.

It's getting old. Kate wants to be a talk show host…blah blah blah. Whatever; but one thing is clear. TLC shouldn't be promoting them in the same way as they have in the past. They are a sham, she's a bitch who only cares about her physical appearance and the money and recognitions she has gotten from this. There is nothing astounding about them or there parenting, or lack of. It's been a train wreck for two years and Kate's not any different than octo mom. Just a little more attractive, very little.

Get real people- They say that this show is inspirational to people. How? This families marriage is falling apart- What is inspirational about this show? They say they want to help other familes that have children. I think they need to worry about their marriage and own family . What people will do and put their family through for money and fame. I think it is ashame- I fell sorry for the children.

To all the congregations who have donated love offerings to help support our family through the years, thank you for your generosity. It put food on our table, enabled our children to attend private schools and to pay for their college funds. Most importantly, it helped Kate and I to grow a substantial nest egg for retirement.
Now that we rake in $75,000 per episode, $3,000 for speaking engagements, $150 for Meet and Greet Teas w Kate, $20 for autographs, a huge sum for writing books, magazine and television interviews, not to mention all the free items we receive from sponsors, we are happy to report that Jon no longer has to clip coupons.
We must say Kate really enjoys flying first class and having body guards *they make her feel important* since she has become a celebrity. She even is thinking of opening a chain of tanning salons to capitalize on everyone’s desire to appear orange just like her.
Thank you so much for dropping those dollars into the collection plate during all those services. We struggled and lay awake at night wondering how we could afford to build our new “Green Energy” 8,000 sq home on 40 acres. We scrimped and saved and here we are now just 2 years later. Our only complaint is that it is sometimes really difficult dealing with an off camera house staff and two free puppies!!

My children and myself watch the show all the time. I think that Jon and Kate do a awsome job with their kids. Life throughs all kinds of ups and downs at us and I believe that they can over come these challenges. Don't give up,we will keep all of you guys in our prayers,God bless you guys, we love guys.

He's a typical male pig having a mid-life crisis. In five years when they young girls get over his fame, or lack there of, he will recognize his childish behaviour and realize he made the biggest mistake of his life.
