Model Lara Stone And ‘Got Talent’ Judge David Walliams’ Marriage Gone In 60 Seconds
Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams and estranged wife and supermodel Lara Stone finalized their divorce Thursday in a quickie court hearing that lasted all of 60 seconds.
A judge from London’s Central Family Court granted the couple a decree nisi, which legitimized their separation and paved the way for a final divorce in six months.
While asking for the divorce, Walliams, a 44-year-old TV star, author, comic, and judge on Britain’s Got Talent, complained of Stone’s “unreasonable behavior.”
Meanwhile, witnesses say Stone never intended to return to the couple’s home after the March trial separation to try and make the marriage work, according to sources who spoke to the Daily Mail. She took her son Alfred and the dog Bert with her when she left.
“Lara has no intention of returning and will sign her divorce papers soon. She has been telling people she is never going back. As far as she is concerned the marriage is finished.”
Their divorce will be final in about six weeks.
The two were last seen in public during a London production of Edwards Scissorhands two days after attending Sir Elton John’s wedding to David Furnish Dec. 21.
The couple first got together in 2009 when the two attended a British soccer match and announced their engagement in 2010.
They married four months later and Stone was pregnant by 2012. Their son Alfred arrived in May 2013; he’s now two years old, according to Yahoo News U.K.
There has been some discussion that Walliams was unhappy with Stone’s inability to lose her baby weight after she gave birth to their son.
Walliams, meanwhile, admitted he could fall in love with either a man or a woman during an interview with Radio Times magazine.
Walliams first made headlines with his role in the BBC One sketch comedy show Little Britain before going on to be a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.
Lara is a Dutch model who ranked eighth on the Forbes top-earning models list in 2012. She was discovered at age 12 during a family vacation and went on to sign with the Elite Modeling Agency. She’s been featured on the cover of Vogue Paris.
Rumors have it that Lara declined a recent invitation from Justin Bieber while the two were shooting a recent ad campaign, according to the Daily Mail.
“While they were doing the whole Calvin Klein ad, Justin was very forward and asked Lara on a date. He made it look like a joke at first, but then tried to put in the charm. It didn’t work though as she respectfully declined since she is married. Surprisingly, it didn’t get awkward and the shoot went on with out incident.”
