Donald Trump Wants Media To Defend His Hair, Politicians React To His Carly Fiorina ‘Face’ Comments

Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has come under fire once again for comments he made about women, this time about fellow Republican candidate Carly Fiorina.

A quick recap: In an interview with Rolling Stone released Wednesday, Donald Trump was quoted remarking about Carly Fiorina’s face.

“Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president? I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

While he acknowledges that he made the seemingly-sexist remarks, Trump told Fox News that he was referring to Carly Fiorina’s persona and track record as the CEO of HP, not her physical face.

In the same Fox News interview, the real estate mogul also alluded to a double standard where the looks of male and female politicians are concerned. According to the Donald, his hair gets no respect.

“When I get criticized constantly about my hair, nobody does a story about ‘Oh isn’t that terrible, they criticized Donald Trump’s hair.'”

Whether or not Trump has a point seems to be irrelevant to many of the other Republican candidates, many of whom came out on Twitter to support Carly Fiorina and denounce Donald Trump’s face comments.

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton also made reference to Trump in a campaign speech Thursday, saying “There is one particular candidate who just seems to delight in insulting women at every chance he gets. I have to say if he emerges, I would love to debate him.”

As for Carly? Fiorina barely gave Donald Trump’s face comments the time of day. When talking to Megyn Fox Wednesday night, Fiorina only said “maybe, just maybe, I’m getting under his skin a little bit because I am climbing in the polls.”

What do you think of Donald Trump’s Carly Fiorina face comments? Could he have been talking about Fiorina’s persona? Do you think Trump has a point when talking about double standards? Should the media give more respect to the Donald’s hair?

Trump seems to have a knack for putting his foot in his mouth, as evidenced by the Donald Carly Fiorina face comments. For some of his most controversial moments, check out the video below:
