The Japanese Marriage Bra

As though it wasn’t enough with a solar powered or chopstick or postal bra, lingerie maker Triumph International has launched the “Konkatsu Bra.” (marriage hunting). Japan’s marriage rate is falling and the average age at which women get married is over 28 years, relatively late for a country in which single females were once considered over the hill at 25.

The novelty bra features a timepiece, a holder for the traditional seal that some people use to sign off contracts and a pen for those nuptial agreements. The clip says it all.

In Japan nearly 57 % of women under the age of 34 are unmarried giving the 3800 match making companies there enough to do.

I don’t know…I think I’ll stick with the Bro (or Manssiere).
