Gwen Stefani Loves Working With And Looking At Rihanna, Shares On Upcoming Album

Gwen Stefani has made her return to the hit TV show The Voice and is not only excited to be back to her comfy red chair and to be having a bit of a beloved distraction from the drama brought on by her split from hubby Gavin Rossdale, but has also shared how much she enjoys the panel and guests which have been alongside her on the show thus far.

This rocker-chic musical powerhouse and fashionista recently chatted about one specific guest mentor who has shared her own musical genius on the show with contestants — Rihanna. During an interview with Too Fab about the latest season, Gwen raved about Ri Ri and shared about her hopes for Rihanna becoming a more permanent fixture on the hit program.

“I loved working with her. I loved working with her and I loved looking at her. So I wouldn’t mind looking at her all day. But yeah, it would be fun. It would be so different to have another girl. I would miss the other guys though. It’s crazy, the chemistry that I think we have is so good and I can’t imagine it any other way.”

The 45-year-old, who is the only female judge on the show’s panel, is clearly having a fantastic time and is elated to be back with her co-judges who she has such great chemistry with. Gwen expanded as to her views about the talent-scouting program.

“Doing this show is probably one of the most fun things I have ever done. There’s so much reward from it. It’s just different from other things I have done. It’s so fulfilling, so emotional and we get so caught up in it.”

As for Stefani’s own musical endeavors, this busy mom, designer, and judge on The Voice has been performing shows with No Doubt band mates, as the Daily Mail shares. She is also working tirelessly in the studio to bring her upcoming album to her fans. Gwen shares that she has never felt so right in the recording studio as she has while laying down tracks for her latest album. The website relays the songstress’ words.

“I have never been in a place, where I’m like outside all my life, where all I want to do is get in the studio. It was always like a chore, like ‘Oh no I have to go to the studio, I am not going to be able to do it. What am I going to say?’ Like it’s an opposite, it’s like I gotta get in the studio. When is there time, you know? Every time I go, I know I’m going to have a song and every time I have a song I get to play it really loud in my car and it’s really fun.”

Gwen reveals that she has 10 songs completed and is eager to continue to write and enjoy studio time, additionally sharing how the visits to the studio and writing her music have been cathartic for her and her busy schedule.

“So I am in a really good place for writing and I think that has a lot to do with being on the show last season and also just, I don’t know, just opening up and being on a journey to get to this point to be able to write again.”
