Tim Tebow Gets E! Entertainment Documentary

Apparently all it takes for Tim Tebow to become an E! Entertainment Television celebrity these days was a decent college football career, a couple of come-from-behind NFL wins and a very public belief in god.

Sports Illustrated is reporting that Tim Tebow is getting his own 30-minute special airing on E! although what the airing will showcase about the New York Jets quarterback is still unknown.

We do know that E! camera crews were on hand with nearly 200 media members when Tim Tebow was introduced In New York on March 26.

It is not very often that a backup quarterback in the NFL receives the type of press attention Tebow is receiving however an E! executive says of his celebrity:

“Tebow is a pop culture phenomenon, and the interest in his life expands beyond the world of sports.”

In the meantime Jets quarterback coach Matt Cavanaugh thinks Tim Tebow could step out of the shadows as a future starting QB for the Jets. According to Cavanaugh:

“I was pleasantly surprised when I saw him over an extended period of time … not just watching him play on film. I think he’s certainly got the arm strength. He has good mechanics. They’re getting better every day.”

Let’s be honest about something for a moment, Tim Tebow is known for an anti-abortion commercial, praying after touchdowns and being ditched by the Denver Broncos in favor of Peyton Manning, other than that a 30-minute special seems a bit premature for a backup quarterback.
