Bethenny Frankel Returning To ‘The Real Housewives Of New York City’ For Season Eight, But Ramona Singer Will Not? [Report]

Bethenny Frankel will reportedly return to Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City for season eight next year. Although it may be a while before the network officially announces the series’ return, as well as the cast, a source recently confirmed to the New York Daily News that Bethenny Frankel was in the “final” negotiations of her season eight contract, as are LuAnn De Lesseps and Carole Radziwill.

According to the site, Bethenny Frankel’s co-stars De Lesseps and Radziwill’s feud over Radziwill’s relationship with Adam Kentworthy, the former boyfriend of De Lesseps’ niece, has led Bravo to ask them back. However, the source claimed they both want raises.

While Bethenny Frankel’s other co-stars, Ramona Singer and Kristen Taekman, have yet to receive their own contract renewal, the New York Daily News reported Taekman is once again “back in play” due to her husband’s Ashley Madison scandal. Months ago, it was alleged Taekman was on the chopping block due to her “boring” story line.

“Kristen definitely isn’t boring any more,” one network insider to the site. “She was perfect and pretty, and now she has problems like everyone else. That makes for good TV.”

Dorinda Medley is also expected to be asked back due to her “lovable” persona, but Heather Thomson has reportedly left the show.

“Heather says she quit, but it was a mutual decision after meeting with the network. Kind of like a, ‘Hey, I don’t want to come back,’ and ‘We don’t want you to come back’ kind of thing. Heather didn’t like the drama and said it was bad for business and her personal life in the end.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bethenny Frankel returned to The Real Housewives of New York City for season seven at the end of last year after a three-season hiatus. At the time, Bethenny Frankel announced the news via her website.

“After many years of hesitation, I have decided to return to my roots on ‘The Real Housewives of New York City.’ I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again.”

Bethenny Frankel appeared on the show for its first three seasons before leaving to pursue her own spinoff series, which aired for three seasons.

Bethenny Frankel has not yet confirmed or denied news of her possible season eight return.
