Who Is Tamar Braxton, Val Chmerkovskiy’s Partner, Of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 21?
Tamar Braxton will be dancing with Val Chmerkovskiy on Season 21 of Dancing with the Stars. Braxton is no stranger to being in the headlines, and her fans are going wild over the announcement that she’ll be on DWTS this fall. What do people need to know about Tamar?
Braxton is a singer who has also done a fair amount of reality television. Tamar is the sister of Toni Braxton, and the family has a show called Braxton Family Values that airs on WE tv. Tamar also hosts the talk show The Real alongside Tamera Mowry-Housley, Adrienne Bailon, Jeannie Mai, and Loni Love. Fans may also remember the show Braxton did with husband Vince Herbert called Tamar & Vince.
Braxton Family Values stars Toni and Tamar along with sisters Traci, Trina, and Towanda. The show shares plenty of family drama and chaos as mother Evelyn tries to hold things together.
Tamar has been nominated for several Grammy awards, and she’s the youngest sister in the Braxton family. As the star shares on her website, she sang with her sisters in the group The Braxtons and then went on to build a solo career. After a long break, she is back to making music again, and it looks like now she’s ready for another challenge by tackling Dancing with the Stars.
Braxton married Vincent Herbert in 2008 after about five years of dating, and the couple welcomed son Logan in June 2013. The singer and reality TV star launched a fashion line last year, and she clearly loves to stay busy.
As for Tamar Braxton’s DWTS partner, she will be dancing with the most recent winner. Val Chmerkovskiy has been on the show for many seasons now, but he just scored his first win in Season 20 with Rumer Willis. Fans tend to go wild over Val and his DWTS partners, and he’s had a wide range of celebrities competing with him.
How will Tamar and Val do in Season 21? He’s had some stellar seasons with celebrities like Kelly Monaco, Zendaya, Janel Parrish, and Willis, but he had a couple of rough spins with early seasons dancing with Elisabetta Canalis and Sherri Shepherd. Chmerkovskiy also danced with Elizabeth Berkley and Danica McKellar, finishing sixth in both of those seasons.
Where will Tamar and Val finish this season? Could they be contenders for a second Mirror Ball Trophy for Chmerkovskiy? It’s going to be a competitive season this fall, with the likes of Hayes Grier, Bindi Irwin, Paula Deen, and Alek Skarlatos dancing as well, but fans will certainly be rooting for this duo.
