Robert Pattinson And FKA Twigs Not ‘Drifting Apart,’ But Wedding Won’t Happen This Year

Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs may be spending some time apart due to their conflicting work schedules, but sources are insisting that the duo’s wedding is still on despite incessant split rumors.

Rumors of Pattinson and Twigs’ split went into overdrive yesterday after a report from People alleged that the duo may be on the verge of a breakup.

A source explains to the site that while Pattinson and Twigs “haven’t called off the engagement,” the British couple has taken their wedding “off the agenda” because of their conflicting schedules.

The source alleges that Twigs and Pattinson have been “drifting apart” since the Twilight actor is busy filming his new movie, The Lost City of Z, in Ireland while the “Two Weeks” songstress remains stateside.

“They’ve definitely drifted and have barely spoken while he’s in Belfast and she’s been in the States,” the source explains.

The insider further alleges that while Pattinson is away, Twigs has been staying at his L.A. home with her entourage.

According to the source, “Rob has never been at east with Twigs’ entourage,” further fueling rumors that suggest the duo is on the verge of a split due to growing tensions in their relationship.

The source concludes their statement by noting that Pattinson’s grueling film schedule will only “create further distance between them” when he jets to Colombia in October.

Despite the claims, a source close to Twigs and Pattinson tells E! News that there’s no cause for alarm when it comes to the duo’s relationship.

The insider notes that while rumors are suggesting Pattinson and Twigs are at odds over their upcoming wedding, everything is “just fine” in the couple’s relationship.

“They haven’t drifted apart [despite claims], but they haven’t spoken as much lately because of his filming schedule. He is in Belfast and she is currently in the United States.”

The source further explains that the duo’s conflicting schedules have forced them to put their wedding plans on the back burner.

“There most likely won’t be a wedding this year, but that has been the expectation for months,” the source continues, noting that their decision to put their wedding on hold shouldn’t spark breakup rumors.

“There isn’t a rush to get married. Fall plans turned into winter plans and now there are no specific plans, but they still plan on getting married.”

Pattinson and Twigs ignited engagement rumors in April of this year after approximately 6 months of dating. While neither Twigs nor Pattinson have personally spoken out about the rumors surrounding their engagement, sources insist that the duo are happy and continue to pursue their respective careers.
