Helen Phillips crowned Biggest Loser Winner 2009

THAT IS SUCH A BUMMER… NO MOTHER WHO DOESN'T STAND ASIDE TO ALLOW HER OWN DAUGHTER BECOME A HEALTHER HAPPIER PERSON, ISN'T A PERSON WHO SHOULD WIN.. WOW.. THAT BRINGS “PLAYING THE GAME” TO A ENTIRE DIFFERENT LEVEL.. WATCH OUT AMAROSA..

I couldnt agree more with JJ's comments. I said from the very day that Helen bullied her own daughter into leaving the ranch that she was selfish and did not desere to win. Tara has been #1almost every week. I wish she would have taken the prize.

I was really rooting for Mike to win. I admire Helen and Tara for their determination. I don't understand the percentage thing. They ALL are winners!

In response to JJ, Maybe now Helen can help her daughter lose her weight. I can see your point though. I didn't watch every week so I didn't see it the week her daughter went home. And I do agree that Tara did win almost every week but they go by percentage.

I think Helen had breast reduction surgery. There is no way her breast also shrank. With that said, Tara should be declared the winner of BL!!!

I was saying the same thing!! Her boobs were always overly large and now they look normal?? She did something while she was home, maybe snuck down to Mexico so nobody would know. I believe she cheated.

I thought the other woman looked better but I know you go by percentagage and all 3 did remarkably well.

I dont like that helen won. It was totally selfish of her to stay on the ranch and let her daughter (who has a long way to go) go home. I dont like her because of that. Mother's are suppose to put there children before themselves.

The breasts carry a lot of fat. It is one of the first things I lose when I lose weight. I think there should be another measure for the biggest loser, though. Jerry looked emaciated and not very strong. And I think that Helen lost too much weight – her extreme weight loss made her face look older. I think she should have bottomed out at about 125. Even though the goal is losing weight, it should also be gaining strength – Jerry and Helen took it a bit too far and that should not be the message.

DUDE TOTALLY. There was a point in those montages of her weight loss through the weeks where her breasts went from huge and saggy (to be expected) to tiny and perky. It mysteriously coincided with when the contestants were home for awhile before coming back to run the marathon. I call shenanigans.

I think there is a huge difference between looking and feeling healthy, good, attractive and athletic and looking emaciated, unhealthy and old. Tara and/or Mike deserved to win, Helen took it too far and as a trainer I would not allow any of my clients end up like that. I imagine she will gain a lot back also as she has become completely obsessed and it seems it has no balance.

hellen should not win this she looked very anerixic she out did her self for the sake of winning 250.000 dols risking her health does not the biggerloser notice these things tara should win the biggerloser she looked very beautifull and healthy and showed an oustanding player not only that she is an example to follow you need to chang your rulles to include how the players play with integrate not with so much as clicks and playing favoretism i hope tara learned a leasong from this because she let helen stay and helen is back stapper and out for her self sorry about that i use to be a regullar watcher of your program . you need to includ a rull that say you have to mainten your weight lose at least for a year or if you forfeith you will pay all back what was spend on you by the way i am not related to anybody from the group

I wanted Kristen to WIN from day one. She was REAL! My second choice was Mike! I think Jerry and Helen looked too THIN! Helen looked like she starved herself. Do you remember when she left the ranch and got a visit from Jillian? She told her that she felt TIRED all of the time. That is a sign of STARVING yourself to death. I like the idea of maintaining your weight for a year or give the $$$$ back! That would be a good incentive for the winner! I really think that MOST of the players did an AWESOME job! I hope that they are being followed closely by their physicians. Finally KRISTEN you are such a ROLE MODEL! YOU GO GIRL! I think you will make more than $250,000 in public speaking and endorsements! You have such CHARISMA!!!!!!!

Seriously??? The breast is one of the first places women lose weight…. I went from a 36DD to being flat when I lost weight…. I find this judgement very unsupported.

Zahra, please learn punctuation, your big run on sentence was extremely hard to read.

Helen did look emaciated and her hair was so stringy, dry and much thinner which points to nutrient deficiency. I think in another interview she said she never did much strength training. That (and age) would account for her flabbiness. Health should definitely be the main concern in this show.

She was still within her healthy weight range though. At the very bottom of the range but still there.

Helen : I am so glad you won. I love Mike and I was really happy for him that he lost all that weight and I would have been happy to see him win….but you…YOU…Oh My Goodness. I am so proud of you because you are (were) the body image that I have now. You are the same age I am and I put all my thoughts into you winning. I am so happy for you. And you are what I think of ever single day when I realize that I have to do this for myself also. I know I can do this because I have done it before. but I now know that I can not fall off the wagon like I have this time to gain all of it back and more. I am so dissapointed in myself and I want to cry with every thought of the realization of letting myself get back to this big ugly thing. I have a 3 year old and I am a stay at home Mom and I really don't have anyway to get out there and get busy. I have no car and no one to help me with the little one….but soon….Preschool will help me with the time that I need to make me beautiful again….WOW! 117 pounds girl…sheesh!…fan-frickin-tastic. Tara is a snickety snob that thought she was better …no wonder she won all those challenges. She had to!..She would not have it any other way. Helens daughter WANTED to go home. She told her mother to stay. And she would not take no for an answer. Sometimes children need to make sacrifices too for their parents…it's a two way street when you are adults. helen will help her daughter now…the same that Mike and his father will help the other son….and watch that he might be a Next contestant. From what I saw…Helen was always working out and she really pushed and pushed. Tara whined a lot….. Tara looks great. She will be fine…She won money too.

Why did you throw OLD in there? It's not her fault she has grown old…It happens. Just like it will to you also. I think Helen may gain some back also….but hey….117 pounds and if she went to 150…she is still going to look good…And won't that be “Healthy” I am so glorified that Helen dear Helen She won! Yay!!!!!

MY DAUGHTER would stand up for me and say…Mom…you stay -cause I want you to be around to see your grandchildren graduate High school and to see them Mar. I want you to be healthy and happy to live as long as you can so that we can share so many more memories. I need you in my life and this is your chance to make it right. I am Young and I may have better chances being granted more time to become healthier. And when you get done with this and you WIN…you can come home and we can work on me doing the same for ME. I love you Mom. And I need you to be as healthy as you can be because we need you in our lives.

Helen hired two trainers to train her throughout her time at home. She did nothing but workout all day with the trainers.Technically she couldn't bring the biggest loser life style home meaning she couldn't win without help.It has been reported that she lost too much weight and must gain some. She shouldn't have won plus she didn't even hire a trainer for her daughter.Two trainers for herself how selfish can a mother get?

Helen had the most awesome titties on the show. Her daughter's were nice too. Guess it runs in the family. Too bad she felt she had to cut em off to win. She looks horrible now. I liked Mike better than both her and Tara as far as personality. I think Helen did some unhealthy stuff to drop weight. But it's whatever. People gatta do what they gatta do, I guess. Can't please everybody, might as well just make yourself happy.
