‘Hemlock Grove’ Finally Gets A Season 3 Premiere Date, Plus Romance Rumors [Video]

For fans of Netflix’s Hemlock Grove, this year has been an arduous wait for news on when the final season will be aired. Now, that wait is over with Netflix announcing season 3 of Hemlock Grove will air on October 23, 2015.

The first two seasons of Hemlock Grove aired early-to-the-middle of each year, so fans were starting to get a little worried the third and final season would never see the light of day when July passed and still no official news of an air date. However, Deadline has reported that Hemlock Grove will air its final season from October 23. Considering it is a Netflix original program, this means all episodes of the show should be available from that date.

When Netflix announced Hemlock Grove was renewed for one last time last September, Eli Roth, who produces the creepy TV series, promised a “killer finale.”

“We are looking forward to taking the last and final season into some dark and unexpected places and to giving viewers the killer finale you’d come to expect from Hemlock Grove.”

According to Coming Soon, Showrunner Charles H. (Chic) Eglee will return to complete the final season of Hemlock Grove and it will run for a total of 10 episodes. A new teaser video has also been released to whet fans appetites for the final installment. While the clip is short (only 19-seconds long), it does reveal Roman Godfrey drinking blood straight from blood bags with a mysterious brunette. At the end of the clip after they both drink from the bags and Netflix implores you “Savor every last drop,” they appear to lean in for a kiss. Could this indicate Roman will be getting an upir love interest in season 3? Guess fans just have to wait until October 23 to find out!

But what about Peter Rumencek? How will his story play out in season 3? As yet there are not many clues, but Netflix posted the following clip to their Instagram account yesterday, so could fans see just how things unravel if you shift too often when it’s not the right time?

You have no idea how fast this can destroy your soul. #HemlockGrove

The Hemlock Grove television series is based on the novel of the same name by Brian McGreevy. It tells the story of a small town and the supernatural creatures that inhabit it, in particular, the rich Godfreys who have vampiric (also known as upir) tendencies and the poor Rumanceks, who tend towards the were-side of things. Peter Rumancek (played by Landon Liboiron) and Roman Godfrey (Bill Skarsgard) develop a friendship that, at times, is horribly strained due to their upir and werewolf backgrounds.
