Katie Rees Busted Again: Dethroned Beauty Queen’s Drug Charges Include Meth & Marijuana For Ex-Miss Nevada [Photos]

Katie Rees has been busted for drugs again. The former Miss Nevada USA pageant queen may not have desired the spotlight to shine on her in this way, but now Katie is back in the public eye after the 31-year-old Rees was nabbed with a collection that ranged from marijuana to meth, reported MSN.

In addition to the meth and marijuana, Las Vegas police reportedly found Katie with prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia. Rees also was busted recently for charges related to meth last year when she allegedly sold methamphetamine in late September, followed by the discovery a month later that Katie allegedly had more than five grams of meth.

Rees lost her beauty queen crown when racy photos surfaced on the Internet in 2006. The pictures included thong underwear and a display of more than her cleavage at a Florida party, where she behaved in ways deemed unfit for a beauty queen.

Katie (whose full name is Katherine Nicole Rees), has been charged with four different felonies related to drugs, according to the Review Journal.

Those four charges include two regarding conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act, one for selling a controlled substance, and one for controlled substance trafficking.

Also charged in 2008 with resisting arrest following a traffic stop, Katie subsequently showed up on Australia TV. Rees made her appearance on Border Security: Australia’s Front Line.

But when customs officers asked Katie about the discovery that her laptop and bag both had been swabbed and resulted in the detection of meth and cocaine, Rees denied it all.

“I don’t do drugs. I don’t use cocaine. I don’t use any kind of pill, no kind of Xanax, no anything. I don’t use anything. I’m from Las Vegas, so you never know what the heck’s going to be around out there. And thank gosh I don’t have anything on me, because I don’t do any sort of illegal activity, but Las Vegas apparently does.”

Also included in Katie’s history is a 2012 guilty plea of possessing drugs not for interstate commerce.

Rees was told to avoid trouble and go through drug counseling after Las Vegas prosecutors dismissed a charge for marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Katie’s Facebook page states that she is an actress, model, and peace shaman. Rees also claims to have been a Warrior of Light since birth.
