Amanda Peet Tells Husband, ‘Game Of Thrones’ Showrunner: If You Kill Jon Snow I’ll Divorce You

Amanda Peet is giving her Game of Thrones producer husband an ultimatum — keep Jon Snow alive or face divorce.

The actress is married to David Benioff, one of the co-creators and showrunners of the hit HBO show. It has been Benioff — with the help from the series creator and mastermind, George R. R. Martin. — who has engineered the deaths of many of the show’s central characters.

Amanda Peet has reportedly told her husband that Jon Snow is where she draws the line.

In an interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Peet explained that the show is causing a lot of tension in her house.

“I don’t love him anymore,” Peet said.

“This is a bombshell,” Kimmel responded.

Peet went on to explain that she stood up for her favorite Game of Thrones character.

“Jon Snow,” she told her husband. “‘If you kill him that’s it.'”

There could be some big trouble for Amanda Peet and her husband. In the show’s finale, Jon Snow appeared to be slain.

But as E! News noted, there may be some evidence that Snow is still alive.

“But we refuse to believe that [Snow is dead]. Jon Snow is one of the biggest reasons why we watch this show in the first place! Come on, you’ve seen his face. And thanks to that now-infamous cave scene, you’ve seen a lot more of him than just his face. He is too precious to lose. The show wouldn’t truly take him from us so soon, would it?

When EW asked author and dream-killer George R. R. Martin about his A Song of Ice and Fire saga, the author gave a very cryptic answer. “Oh, you think he’s dead, do you?” Martin said in an interview in 2011. “My readers should know better than to take anything as gospel.”

It seems unlikely that the couple would actually divorce. Amanda Peet and her husband just welcomed a baby boy last year, the third for the 42-year-old Peet.

Peet said it was a great pregnancy — for about two months.

“I can’t complain. I mean, I’m tired but otherwise, I’m doing really well,” she said.

But Amanda Peet and her husband could still have trouble ahead. Production for season 6 of the show started in July, with episodes set to air sometime in the spring of 2016. She could find out then if her favorite character is off the show — though it’s likely Benioff will give his wife a heads up on whether Jon Snow is really dead.
