Sofia Vergara Parties With Soon To Be Hubby, Then Goes All Peggy Bundy On Instagram
The date has been set for Sofia Vergara and soon-to-be hubby Joe Maganiello’s big day, and the star couple is happy to start the celebration early and to continue stepping out on the scene as the occasion approaches. The Daily Mail shares that Sofia and Joe had a fun night out this week, sharing that “[the couple] hit the town for dinner at famed Hollywood hotspot Craig’s Restaurant.” Of course, Sofia looked radiant as always.
However, the Modern Family star transitioned to a whole different look this week and posted the evidence of her transformation on Instagram. The results of the transition brings on the nostalgia of a certain red-head from the long-running program Married With Children, Mrs. Peggy Bundy.
People Magazine relays the reasons for Vergara’s entire overhaul of her outward appearance to look like the show’s character.
“The Modern Family star shared a photo of herself looking very much like her TV husband Ed O’Neill’s other famous TV wife.”
Vergara captioned the pic with a direct question for her TV husband.
“Do you like this look Ed Oneal???”
The humorous actress, along with Katey Sagal, who played O’Neill’s wife on the sitcom which focused on a dysfunctional family throughout the 90s, each took part in helping Ed celebrate receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame back in 2011. USA Today reminds us about the humor and plot structure of the comedy, which ran a full 11 years and links the two programs to suggest the connection between Married With Children and Modern Family.
“On the FOX sitcom that ran from 1987-1997, O’Neill played a disgruntled shoe salesman named Al Bundy who basically dreamed of having everything O’Neill’s Modern Family character Jay Pritchett has: success, money, respect, and a hot wife who adored him.”
The publication expresses what many likely feel in regards to Vergara’s Instagram post — that being, “we are so excited to see that Sofia Vergara is bringing Peggy back.”
In regards to Vergara’s real life relationship and the wedding that is approaching quickly, the star has shared that all is under control and going as planned. In earlier reports, Vergara shared what sort of atmosphere and mood she hopes to achieve at the big event. Sofia chatted in an exclusive interview with Martha Stewart’s Wedding on the subject.
“I want a wedding where the guests are going to have fun… It’s about creating memories that you’re always going to cherish. That’s what’s important.”
