Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Rosie O’Donnell Fight Continues: Hasselbeck Talks #BlackLivesMatter & ‘Hate Group’ [Video]

Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Rosie O’Donnell are in the midst of a fight again. The View former co-hosts’ latest argument began with Elisabeth’s statements on the #BlackLivesMatter movement, reported MSN.

“Hasselbeck asked, ‘Kevin, why has the Black Lives Matter movement not been classified yet as a hate group?…’ some r slow 2 wake,” Rosie tweeted.

O’Donnell posted her fighting words after Elisabeth was discussing the #BlackLivesMatter supporters with regard to a Texas deputy who allegedly was killed by a suspect who is African American. Hasselback was talking about the death while on Fox and Friends.

“Why has the #BlackLivesMatter movement not been classified yet as a hate group?” she questioned.

Rosie took a very different view on the issue. And it’s not the first time that O’Donnell has chosen to fight with Elisabeth. She and Hasselbeck became engrossed in yelling at each other on The View when politics became the hot topic of the day. And although those fights were back in 2007, it seems from Rosie’s Twitter response that not much has changed.

Elisabeth’s discussion on Fox and Friends centered on why Deputy Darren Goforth was killed. The deputy was headed to his patrol car when he allegedly was shot by Shannon J. Miles. Some felt that the death resulted from the uniform.

“I mean, how much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?” asked Hasselbeck.

However, although Miles’ criminal history ranges from disorderly conduct using a firearm to resisting arrest, it is not known if the man accused of the shooting had a link to the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

On Fox and Friends Monday, Elisabeth also was talking about the Black Lives Matter protest in St. Paul. Hasselbeck referred to the group chant, reported EurWeb.

“Fry ’em like bacon! Pigs in a blanket!” was the chant.

Some interpreted that as a call to action to target officers, but Black Lives Matter spokespeople emphasized that they are seeking equal treatment rather than urging violent actions.

Hasselbeck was talking with conservative black writer Kevin Jackson on her show when she asked the question that incited Rosie.

“Why has the Black Lives Matter movement not been classified as a hate group? How much more has to go in this direction before someone actually labels it as such?” queried Elisabeth.

“Well they should do it, but unfortunately it’s being financed by the leftists … Ironically it’s people that have nothing, really no concern at all about black lives,” responded Jackson.

That’s when Rosie fired back with her tweet dissing Elisabeth. In addition to slamming Hasselbeck, Rosie reposted a previous comment about Donald Trump, with whom she also has been fighting.

“when r we going to declare Donald Trump as a hate group?” O’Donnell retweeted.

However, Elisabeth sought to defend herself on Twitter. Hasselbeck noted that her career involves journalism but that she tries to stay true to her religious beliefs, reported the New York Daily News.

“My calling @foxandfriends is to ask questions and my calling as a #Christian is to #LoveAllGodsPeople – I give my best to do both each day,” she tweeted.

In addition, Elisabeth noted that she asked a question rather than stated an opinion.

“My question was NOT my opinion it was for my guest & was @ the St Paul group (NOT entire BLM) calling for cops to be ‘fried like bacon,” posted Hasselbeck.

As the Inquisitr reported, Elisabeth previously fired up social media over the Sandra Bland controversy. Hasselbeck claimed that Bland’s cigarette could have been considered a threatening weapon.

“I’m sure, someone has, in the history of this land, used a cigarette against a police officer,” she asserted.
