Ronda Rousey’s Marine Corps Date Invitation: MMA Fighter Says Yes To Ball

MMA fighter Ronda Rousey accepted a Marine Corps ball invitation for a date, proving that there is indeed a softer side to her. The marine who asked her out said it would be a “dream come true” if she agreed.

Jarrod Haschert, a marine stationed in Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, was hoping that the UFC bantamweight champion wouldn’t miss her training to meet him. It’s good that Haschert is considerate and respectful, because you can imagine what would happen if the two ever had a violent argument.

The 34-second video will have an interesting outcome no matter what happens. Seeing Ronda dance without an opponent is not something most people see. He certainly showed some class with the video.

“You are my celebrity crush, like, I love everything you do and I think that you are a phenomenal person, which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball on December 11th. I really hope this doesn’t get in the way of your training… but I hope you take this in consideration, because if you do, you will truly be making my dream come true.”

When Ronda Rousey saw the Marine Corps ball invitation video, she did what nobody expected. She asked how she could get ahold of him. Haschert didn’t leave any contact information, according to ESPN. The UFC fighter told the press about her impression of the marine, saying he’s “cute,” and opened up the possibility of getting to know him.

“I don’t know how to… hit him up and say, ‘Yeah, I want to go with you.’ Do I have to call him or do I set up a time and place like Never Been Kissed, and just show up?

He’s gotta be a gentleman. I’m not a first-date kind of girl, but we’ll see when I meet him.”

Ronda Rousey’s Marine Corps ball acceptance will certainly make Haschert’s day, and he’s lucky she has the time. CNN reported that her upcoming fight with Holly Holm was originally scheduled for January, meaning that December would have been dedicated to training. However, the fight was moved to November 14, freeing her up to make a marine’s “dream come true.”

By accepting the invitation to the Marine Corps ball, Ronda Rousey is proving she does have a heart. It’s not all about beating other women down and trading verbal blows with Floyd Mayweather, Jr.. She has stated that she would like Haschert to set up dates for her “girls” as well, but we’ll see what happens.
