Is ‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Being Cancelled?

Real Housewives of New Jersey is reportedly on the verge of cancellation due to a lack of authenticity. The cast is heading in different directions, and none of them seem to be in line with Bravo’s idea of what the Real Housewives franchise is supposed to be.

As reported by the Inquisitr, Teresa Giudice is causing trouble amongst the cast, even from prison. Word leaked out that Bravo had offered Teresa Giudice $1 million to come back for another season after she is released from prison. Word got around, and the other women made waves about why they weren’t being offered the same deal, especially since they weren’t ex-cons.

According to Christian Post, Season 7 for Real Housewives of New Jersey is unlikely. It seems that real life became a bit too real, and Bravo did not allow the RHONJ stars to “sugar coat” the dramatic things going on in their lives.

Christian Post is reporting that the show was a raging success because it allowed people to express both their envious and judgmental sides, and that started waning, especially with Teresa Giudice’s legal problems and Jacqueline Laurita’s struggle with her autistic son, Nicholas.

Now, legal trouble has found the Lauritas, as husband Chris stands accused of paying for his house with funds from a business that is going under. The party line is that the Lauritas are selling their large home to better focus on the cost and time constraints of various autism therapies.

NewJersey.com says that the thrill is gone for viewers because the flash and bling has been replaced by financial panic and the banging of prison doors.

“I can’t say that I miss it, exactly. ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ had become a welcome outlet for my self-righteousness, an itch that I took weird pleasure in scratching. But the most recent season failed because of Bravo’s willingness to let its stars sugar-coat their own narrative when the truth is so sour. It’s a strategy that could prove fatal to a franchise supposedly built on Jersey-style bluntness.”

E! Online is reporting that Bravo is shooting a special around the idea of Joe Giudice taking care of his girls on his own. Teresa Giudice is not supposed to be part of that show, even after her release.
