Jared Fogle Sues Former Friend And Aide Over Unpaid Personal Loan

Former spokesperson of Subway Jared Fogle is suing his former friend and aide for failing to make personal loan repayments.

In the lawsuit he filed a week ago, Jared Fogle claims that his ex-aide has not made monthly repayments of $850 since May. Russell Taylor allegedly borrowed $191,000 from Jared Fogle to pay for the Indianapolis home that the former executive director of the Jared Foundation transferred to his wife, Angela Taylor, in June.

The Indianapolis home, bought using the money loaned to him by Jared Fogle, is one of the locations where Russell Taylor filmed child pornography that was used against him in court. Taylor is currently in prison for production, distribution, and possession of child pornography.

According to Brad Banks, Russell Taylor’s attorney, “My client does not believe he was limited in transferring the property to his wife. My understanding is that she is the current proper owner… he no longer has ownership interest in it.”

Included in Jared Fogle’s lawsuit is Angela Taylor, Russell Taylor’s estranged wife. Angela Taylor is listed as the new owner of the infamous home in Indianapolis that’s now for sale for $187,000.

And just like his former friend, Jared Fogle, 37, is in deep legal trouble. The former spokesman of sandwich chain Subway pled guilty to child pornography and paying for sex with minors following a raid the authorities conducted in his home in July.

Given his plea deal, Jared Fogle will face up to 12 and a half years in prison and must pay $1.4 million to his victims. Jared Fogle has had sexual relations with minors and obtained child pornography of 12 other very young victims from Russell Taylor. Jeremy Margolis, Fogle’s defense attorney, gave a statement to the press.

“Jared Fogle knows that he has a problem. He has already sought psychiatric evaluation by a world-class psychiatrist, experienced in these matters and he will seek appropriate treatment. He knows that restitution cannot undo the damage that he’s done”

It has been reported that Katie Fogle plans to seek a divorce from her husband. In an official statement, Jared Fogle’s wife said that she’s shocked and extremely disappointed by the recent developments involving her husband and the father of her children.

“My focus is exclusively on the well-being of my children,” Katie Fogle added.

Under the plea deal, Jared Fogle can visit his children if Katie agrees.

Both Jared Fogle and Russell Taylor were behind the Jared Foundation. Recently, it was revealed that contrary to previous reports, the charitable institution reneged on its mission to combat childhood obesity and has never allocated funding for a single grant. In fact, a huge chunk of Jared Foundation’s expenses went to Russell Taylor’s monthly salary.
