Jack Nicholson Once Offered Cocaine To Princess Margaret, New Biography Claims, Has DiCaprio Look-A-Like Son

At a party held in Princess Margaret’s honor, a new book claims that Hollywood star Jack Nicholson, who arrived at the party with then-flame Anjelica Huston, offered the late royal cocaine. The actor, according to the book, pulled Margaret aside at the lavish event held in Los Angeles and “made the offer in an attempt to get to know her better,” as the Daily Mail shares. The Princess rejected Nicholson’s offer and instead enjoyed her evening drinking and hitting the dance floor with John Travolta.

The book, entitled Can I Go Now? The Life of Sue Mengers, Hollywood’s First Superagent, and authored by Brian Kellow, outlines the luxurious event and indicates the guest list was packed with A-list celebs, including Sean Connery, Robin Williams, and Barry Manilow. Sue Mengers hosted the 1979 event for Princess Margaret, and within the biography it is noted that Mengers was, indeed, annoyed with Nicholson for his behavior at the party. The publication sums up Kellow’s words in regards to Mengers’ negative view of the party, thanks to Nicholson.

“Miss Mengers was then angry at Nicholson because she felt he had blown her chance to earn an invitation to Buckingham Palace. The agent, whose brash personality helped her build up a list of star clients including Barbra Streisand and Michael Caine, once said in an interview that she thought the party for Princess Margaret was a rare personal disaster.”

Mengers, in addition to being upset with Jack Nicholson’s outrageous offer to the royal who passed away in 2002, was also embarrassed by her own nervousness in the company of the Princess. Kellow quotes the agent’s words on the subject.

“Every time she looked my way I curtsied. I was curtsying all night! She thought I was an idiot.”

So, it therefore wasn’t all Jack’s doing that Mengers was not invited to Buckingham Palace. Nicholson has since continued to maintain his status as one of the top Hollywood veteran actors, and has recently often been compared to a much younger well-known star for both talent and appearance.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Jack Nicholson, who co-starred in The Departed, began to make news for their similarities in scruff and facial features. However, more recently, Nicholson has stepped out with his son Raymond, who likewise seems to have a striking resemblance to not only his talented father, but also to the Blood Diamond heartthrob.

Movie Pilot suggests a possible reason for Nicholson and DiCaprio having such great onscreen chemistry.

“Could Jack have been picturing his son the whole time? And the ‘uncanny’ resemblance be the reason for the duo working so well together on set?”
