Tila Tequila Re-Entering ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ House After Being Booted For Offensive Facebook Posts?

Tila Tequila may be re-entering the Celebrity Big Brother house after all, the Daily Mail is reporting.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Tila Tequila (real name: Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen) entered the Celebrity Big Brother house (CBB airs on the U.K.’s Channel 5 and is not available in the U.S.) last Thursday, only be booted from the show a few hours later. The reason? Show producers found out that Tila had made some offensive Facebook posts in 2013.

The posts, which have been deleted and won’t be published in this post (you can see them here), show Ms. Tequila wearing a Nazi armband and Nazi soldier’s hat, with her image digitally inserted in front of Auschwitz. She then went on to praise Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust.

Tila has since apologized for those posts during a period of her life when she was suffering from depression and drug addiction, according to TMZ.

“I am in no way, shape or form a racist nor antisemitic, and absolutely 100% not a Nazi supporter. Back in 2013 I made a statement about Hitler not being a bad person, and immediately realized soon after that I had made a terrible mistake that would ultimately come back to haunt me. During that time I had been suffering from severe depression, and drug addiction for many years prior to that. I also attempted to commit suicide in 2012, and overdosed on prescription pills. I wanted to die. I felt worthless, and unloved as that pain continued to grow causing me to further spiral out of control.”

Apology or not, Tila Tequila is still without her CBB job — and its $175,000 appearance fee — and she’s not taking it lying down. She is reportedly talking to CBB producers about getting her old job back, and she’s also raised the possibility of a lawsuit.

Tila claims, via her representative, that CBB producers either didn’t do a thorough background check on Tequila, like they claim to have done (her rep says the offensive Nazi posts are “easily searchable”), or they knew all along and hired her anyway, with the intention of firing her, in order to drum up publicity for the show.

So, Tila’s rep has given producers an ultimatum: hire her back on CBB, or expect a lawsuit. The two sides are reportedly discussing options, as of this post.
