Brad Pitt And Knox: ‘Hitting The Apex’ Father-Son Day At The Races [Photos]

It was a big day at the racetrack for Brad Pitt fans on August 29. Brad took 7-year-old Knox, his youngest son with Angelina Jolie, to see motorcycle racing in style at the 2015 British Grand Prix. People reports that Brad and Knox enjoyed “a father-son fun day” on Sunday at the Northampton, England, Silverstone racetrack. Brad, who is a biker himself, made sure his son was well-prepared for the noisy day out, and brought along a pair of bright green noise-cancellation headphones to protect the boy’s ears while they watched the motorcycles.

Womans Day magazine called the visit “a very special appearance,” and posted a photo of Knox “safe in dad’s arms” back in 2009, next to another of Brad holding Knox close at the motorcycle races. The magazine also referred to “recent reports” that suggest Brad and Angelina may be house hunting in the U.K. as a possible reason for his presence in England.

Fans noticed the happy relationship between Brad and Knox and were quick to take photos to post to Twitter with comments. One Twitter user called the moment “so cute,” while DCPartyCrasher pointed out that they liked Brad Pitt from day one.

After the racing was finished, Brad took Knox along to meet the winner, Italy’s Valentino Rossi. Brad congratulated Valentino and they took some group photos.

Pitt’s new movie, Hitting the Apex, will be released in the U.K. on September 2, and there was speculation that his appearance at the Grand Prix was related to the movie.

Co-produced and narrated by Pitt, the movie follows “six of the fastest motorcycle racers in the world.” Rossi is one of the six. According to the Motorcycle News, Hitting the Apex will offer “a new perspective” on the world of Moto GP, “going behind the scenes” to let the audience get a glimpse “inside the minds of some of the sport’s biggest stars.”

Fans are as excited about the new movie trailer as they were about Brad’s presence at Silverstone racetrack. “Can’t wait for it,” tweeted one Twitter user, “Hats off to Brad Pitt!”

Whatever the reason was for Brad Pitt’s visit to the motorcycle races, Brad and Knox look like they had some great father-son time, away from Brad and Angelina’s other five children, Maddox, 14, Pax, 11, Zahara, 10, Shiloh, 9, and Knox’s twin sister Vivienne.
