Kim Kardashian’s Second Pregnancy May Be Her Last Due To A Medical Condition

Kim Kardashian’s second pregnancy may be her last due to a medical condition that could endanger her life if left untreated.

The condition, called placenta accreta, is a condition with which Kim is already familiar. Placenta accreta causes blood vessels and other tissues to attach the placenta too deeply into the uterus. Removal of the placenta can cause severe hemorrhaging for the mother, so doctors usually opt to remove the entire uterus when the condition becomes too severe.

In an interview with C Magazine, Kim Kardashian revealed when she was pregnant with her daughter, North, she developed the condition which ultimately left a hole in her uterus.

“I had this condition called placenta accreta. There were a couple of little operations to fix all that, so that created a little hole in my uterus, which I think made it really tough to get pregnant again. It was a long road.”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star admitted she visited the doctor nearly every morning to see if she was ovulating in order to get pregnant with her second child, a baby boy.

Kanye West’s wife shared her fears that her second pregnancy may be her last if the medical condition is too severe.

“They think I’ll have placenta accreta again, so if the placenta grows a little bit deeper than it did last time, then they are prepared to have my uterus removed, which is a little scary for me.”

However, this pregnancy is much easier for Kim Kardashian. Her first pregnancy was complicated by preeclampsia, a condition characterized by uncontrolled high blood pressure and swelling. So far, Kim doesn’t feel like the preeclampsia is an issue this time around.

She said, “And I also feel lucky that as of right now, I don’t feel like I’m gonna get preeclampsia again, which last time [contributed to] not only the weight, but also the swelling that everyone would make fun of, not understanding that I had this condition.”

Not only is Kim Kardashian’s second pregnancy different because of health reasons, it is different because of how she feels about herself.

With her first pregnancy, Kim “was always smiling, and so into being out and about.” After North was born and she had around 50 pounds of weight to lose, Kim withdrew from the spotlight.

The Kardashian reality star said, “I don’t want to smile for [the photographers]. I don’t want to be out. Even if I was more confident, I just didn’t feel like being that girl who was going to be smiling for every photo. It changed my mood; it changed who I was; it changed my personality a lot.”

Kim Kardashian West says her pregnancy now is a lot more comfortable and “more simple.”

Time will only tell if Kim Kardashian’s second pregnancy will be her last. Her baby is due in December, according to Elite Daily.
