Taylor Swift ‘Not Jealous’ of Selena Gomez’s Friendship With Demi Lovato
Taylor Swift is not jealous of Selena Gomez’s newfound friendship with Demi Lovato. It is rumored the “Bad Blood” singer didn’t like that her best friend, Selena, recently rekindled her friendship with Demi on social media.
The rumors started on the notorious news site, Celebrity Dirty Laundry. The gossip site claimed Swift was not happy to hear Gomez and Lovato were friends again. An alleged insider told the celebrity gossip site that Swift loves being the center of attention, especially when it comes to her famous friendships. The insider also added that she acts like a Regina George in sheep’s clothing; much like Katy Perry hinted. Maybe the alleged snitch was Ms. Perry herself.
“Taylor wants to be everyone’s BFF, and she freaks out if she is not the most important person in each of her friends’ lives. She won’t ever confront them though, when Taylor is mad at you, you will know.”
The source went on to say Swift will cut her friends out of her lives if she doesn’t get her way. However, Swift and Gomez were seen performing together for the first time in four years at Swift’s 1989 concert in Los Angeles. The girls were also sharing their special time together on social media, as previously reported by the Inquisitr.
When Taylor Swift introduced Selena Gomez on the stage, she called her a “multi-talented performer, who is good at everything she does.” It didn’t seem like the singer-songwriter would perform with someone she didn’t like. Selena and Taylor even embraced each other on stage before they performed Selena’s summer hit, “Good For You.”
A recent report via Gossip Cop slammed the rumors on Thursday, Aug. 27. The celebrity news site spoke to both Swift and Gomez’s reps about the story, and both teams claim the report is “stupid” and “untrue.” They’re both convinced the blonde pop star is not the “jealous mean girl” that she’s been made out to be in the tabloids.
Last week, it was reported Demi started following Selena on Instagram. Selena then tweeted her friend a sweet birthday message. Demi responded and included the hashtags #forever and #nomatterwhat, hinting to fans that they’re still best friends, despite their differences.
But, fans know Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez are best friends and have been for eight years. In addition, fans can’t forget that infamous video in which Lovato says, “Ask Taylor!” when asked about how Gomez’s doing.
Taylor and Demi were allegedly forced to sit next to each other at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards. As seen on video, the two made awkward small talk and posed for pictures. When Demi left her seat, Taylor turned to her friend and mouthed the word, “Yes.”
