Betty White: ‘Bones’ Season 11 Will Feature 93-Year-Old White As Anthropologist

There’s a new squintern in town to join the forensic team at the Jeffersonian institute, and it’s none other than Betty White.

The 93-year-old actress, who plays Elka Ostrovsky in the TV Land series Hot in Cleveland, just wrapped up filming of the show’s sixth season, so she has some spare time on her hands. Now, news of Betty joining the cast of Bones has hit the web. And of course, the news was confirmed by none other than Betty White herself via her official Twitter account.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Betty White will guest star as a doctor named Beth Mayer whose valuable experience as an anthropologist will help the team solve a murder case. In fact, she might even be more qualified than Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), as she is described as one of the most experienced forensic anthropologists in the world.

However, many are wondering what Bones Season 11 will bring since Dr. Brennan and Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), the two central characters, decided to leave their jobs at the Jeffersonian Institute and the FBI respectively. E Online explains that Bones Season 11 will resume six months after the events of the Season 10 finale. Brennan and Booth are said to already have new jobs in a different location, but they are brought back into town in order to help friends solve murders once again.

It is not known, however, if Brennan and Booth will permanently return back to their old life.

Betty White’s episode on Bones will most likely air on the latter half of October, which is most likely Episode 3 or 4 of Season 11.

Other details that we know about Bones include the Sleepy Hollow crossover, which was reportedly confirmed in early August during the Television Critics Association’s press tour, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

“The grisly discovery of human remains lead Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) on a hunt for clues, during which they encounter Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie), searching for answers of their own. Realizing that they are after the same evidence, they team up to solve the mystery.”
