Carrie Prejean is being advised to step down as Miss California after shirking her duties and lying to pageant organizers.

Carrie Prejean Lies to Miss California Pageant Organizers

One of the prerequisites of becoming Miss California is a lengthy application process whereby the potential contestants are asked a battery of questions, one of which asks if the contestant has previously posed for nude or semi-nude photos. Clearly, Carrie Prejean, the current Miss California lied on the application when it was discovered that she had indeed posed for semi-nude photos, which she admitted to doing in an official statement to the press.

Carrie Prejean refuses duties as Miss California

Recently, when asked by Pageant organizers to appear in a public service advertisement for the state of California, Prejean’s rep replied that she was unable to do so, stating she had a “prior personal commitment otherwise she would have been glad to participate.

Official talks of removing Carrie Prejean are still ongoing and a decision is expecfted early this coming week, but State officials are urging the current Miss California to step down of her own accord.

In a new interview with FOX News, state pageant director Keith Lewis said:

“Carrie is still Miss California USA, but right now she is not acting in the capacity of Miss California USA. She is acting as Carrie Prejean and working on things that are important to Carrie Prejean.”

Other beauty queens urge Carrie Prejean to resign as Miss California

And when asked their opinion on the situation, other beauty pageant winners think it’s best Carrie Prejean resign as Miss California as well. Miss USA 2004, Shandi Finnessey said:

“I think it’s awesome that she’s found something that she’s very passionate about and found this voice, but if she wants to pursue that and emphasize those opinions she should do it as Carrie not as Miss California so therefore I do think she should step down.”

    Ummm, what?

  2. and of course this has nothing to do with anything political. what a joke these pageant organizers are.!

  3. I'm sorry but Noah, you are an idiot. Did you even read the article? 1.She blatantly LIED! Other beauty queens have had their titles stripped for the same reason (so she's hardly being singled out).
    2. She's not performing the duties she is obligated to do as Miss California.
But according to you, Noah, she should not be held to same rules & requirements because she's religious?! THAT IS ABSURD!

  6. your technicallity is a bit arbitrary you BULLY!

  7. the rules I'm pretty sure is not to allow a witch hunt based on a political opinion. if they do allow such behavior then I think we should get the government involved. her religion and her opinions should not reflect arbitrary bias. you betray such bigotry!

  8. Ummmm get a life!

  9. This is from a discussion taking place on the “Miss USA” website.

If the Miss USA pageant becomes seen as the gay pageant, run by gay activists, that choose gay men to judge female beauty (or maybe just how much they like their answers) — and that design questions to promote a gay, aggressive, and unpopular political agenda — and that uses beauty queens for the No on 8 campaign, the Miss USA pageant is finished.

The public won't understand that Miss California was fired for photo(s) that show less than the bikinis they wear in the pageant — by a Playboy bunny!

They will understand she was fired for expressing her opinion honestly and straightforwardly.

The directors spoke out against Miss Prejean's answer. We *know* who asked Carrie Jean for *her* opinion, and *she* was expected to give it. Were the *directors* expected to give their *critique* of her opinion? Disclosing her boob job was hitting below the belt. Most would prefer that to be kept private. Miss USA directors destroy contestants?

Every article will point out that she will have been fired by a Playboy bunny and gay activist. Many will imply that she was fired for giving an honest answer that intolerant gay activists hated.

You can line up the facts however you want. The reporters will line them up to sell their product.

(Try to say you fired her for lying. Will everyone that's never lied please raise their hands?)

Most readers share Miss Prejean's opinion. Most of your potential viewers will too.

Good luck with the Nielsen ratings after that.

I can see the headlines after that: Miss USA Pageant: You're Fired.

I'm sure the reporters will remember how Trump likes controvery to promote Miss USA pageants. Keep stretching this one out. We'll see how that works out for you.

Will the public approve of beautiful, 21-year-old Carrie Prejean's vilification, one that the directors took part in?

*This* controversy is casting a pall over the pageant.

Why have judges? Why not just let the directors choose the winner, if that's what they're going to do anyway?

  10. Amen ES165! I've seen more applicable argument at the U.N.
the directors were not expected to give a *critique*
they also were not expected to attempt to destroy a contestant.
she didn't win. I question that… but the contest went even further and proved their bias.

  11. She is welcome to her political opinions and they may be informed by religion. Its also perfectly acceptable if others disagree with those opinions and think they don't represent American values, like Liberty for all and equal treatment under the law, to not vote for her on that basis. If she stood there and said that she did not think that under her values blacks and white should be allowed to marry, even if that opinion was based on her religious view, no one would fault a judge asking the question to lower her score for that.

Of course Noah it's about equal rights, it's also about the government not telling you who you can and cannot marry. Why would you grant the government that power. Oh you are happy to get married because your intended spouse passed the government's test for who you are allowed to marry?

I personally think she should step down because she has elected to advocate for one side of a very divisive issue for the state of california. Her role should be to represent the whole state.

But I also think that she is now trying to get removed from the position so that she looks like a victim of persecution and people like you can act like false victims even more than you already do.

  12. PreJean is not welcome to her opinions. that is a lie “roz” and her opinions are not applicable as bigotry as seen by the law. this nullifies your argument. for sure it can change. but it hasn't yet and it has not had one election (even in California) that supported this idea. gay marriage is not equal rights. In fact it takes the liberty of straight people away in that they are stuck with the societies responsibility for pregnancy. Affirmative action being equal rights is a matter of opinion. It is not law.

  13. I am sad that you don't respect the biological truth I live with when you ask me to respect your biological truth. social contracts need to reflect the people who agree to them. gay marriage arguments are nothing but punitive anger.
