Kim Kardashian Infertility: ‘KUWTK’ Star Opens Up About Difficulties Getting Pregnant

Kim Kardashian has not been shy when it comes to talking about her personal life, and that includes her struggle with infertility.

Before becoming pregnant for a second time (Kim and Kanye West are expecting a son in December), Kim had a very hard time conceiving. Not only did she go to a specialist, but she tried just about everything under the sun to have another baby. According to People Magazine, Kim Kardashian detailed her struggle in a recent interview with C Magazine.

“I had so many complications. I had this condition called placenta accreta. There were a couple little operations to fix all that, so that created a little hole in my uterus, which I think made it really tough to get pregnant again. It was a long road. I would go to the doctor in Beverly Hills every day at five in the morning to get tested to see if I was ovulating,” Kim said. “I was trying everything: I did acupuncture and got a nutritionist to eat healthier, thinking that was an issue,” she added.

Kim Kardashian said that having to be on such a strict sex schedule really took the fun out of getting pregnant. She recalled times where she’d have to call Kanye, and tell him to get home right away.

“I’m like, ‘I’m ovulating, get home now!’ He’d be like, ‘Wait, I’m in the studio,’ ” Kim said. Although Kim and Kanye have been fortunate enough to have this baby news to share with the world, Kim says that she is taking things day by day. She knows that she is prone to complications and other pregnancy side effects, but she’s trying to remain positive, and to look on the bright side of things.

“I also feel lucky that, as of right now, I don’t feel like I’m gonna get preeclampsia again, which last time [contributed to] not only the weight, but also the swelling that everyone would make fun of, not understanding that I had this condition. It was the worst! I couldn’t help it, and everyone would say, ‘She can’t stop eating.’ I delivered at 180, and they were like, ‘She’s 210 pounds. She’s getting dumped because she’s too fat,’ and all these ridiculous stories. It really took a toll after the fact, when I was losing weight,” Kim said.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have some other news making headlines today. According to TMZ, the couple won quite a handsome settlement over a leaked video from their engagement. YouTube founder Chad Hurley will soon be paying $440,000 to Mr. and Mrs. West.
