‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Spinoff & Motorcycle Club Cast News From Charlie Hunnam To Katey Sagal’s ‘Bastard Executioner’ With Ed Sheeran

A Sons of Anarchy spinoff from the FX drama’s creator Kurt Sutter is in the works. And although Sons of Anarchy ended in 2014, fans of the biker show have stayed strong, giving hope to showrunner Sutter for another hit success with the spinoff, reported MSN.

Although the timeline and details of the show are unknown, it is anticipated that the Sons of Anarchy spinoff will feature the Mayans Motorcycle Club.

Sutter also has a medieval drama titled The Bastard Executioner, and both the Sons Of Anarchy spinoff and medieval drama are co-produced by FX Productions and Fox 21 Television Studios.

As for details of Sutter’s The Bastard Executioner, it is known that Ed Sheeran will take on a guest star role, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Ed revealed that he met Sutter through Twitter, when he was watching Sons Of AnarchySOA).

“I was watching SOA and it was mind blowing. I tweeted, ‘Whoever does the music on Sons of Anarchy, I want to buy him a pint.’ And then Kurt tweeted me back to say his name is Bob and I should do a song for it. So I did. We kept in touch from there. And then I was having dinner at his house and I was talking about Marilyn Manson being in Sons of Anarchy, and just saying, if you ever have another show, can you stick me in it? Just like a bit part? And here I am.”

But while Sheeran’s dreams are coming true, Entertainment Weekly reports that FX hasn’t revealed whether the Sons of Anarchy spinoff will be a prequel, as was initially hinted at Comic-Con.

Although Sutter will take the reins as executive producer, a showrunner has not yet been found. That will give the original Anarchy creator the ability to target his Bastard Executioner drama.

Debuting September 15, it will contain such familiar faces as Lee Jones, Stephen Moyer, Katey Sagal, and Ed Sheeran.

But where’s the rest of the Sons Of Anarchy cast? Might any be available for the spinoff?

In addition to Katey Sagal’s new role in Bastard Executioner (worth noting: show creator Sutter is Katey’s husband), look for Charlie Hunnam on the big screen, reported PopSugar.

Hunnam is set for Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, in addition to co-starring with Rosamund Pike in The Mountain Between Us, portraying King Arthur in Guy Ritchie’s Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur in 2016, and co-starring with Sienna Miller and Robert Pattinson in The Lost City of Z.

And Sagal isn’t just appearing in The Bastard Executioner. Katey also plays the mother of Hailee Steinfeld’s character in Pitch Perfect 2 and dukes it out in boxing movie Bleed For This with Aaron Eckhart and Miles Teller.
