Beyonce Loses Instagram Title As Most Followed Celebrity, Wins With Photos Of Blue Ivy [Video]
Beyonce is no longer the queen of Instagram, even though she shares some wonderful family moments. Beyonce was edged out recently by Kim Kardashian, who now has over 44.3 million followers on the social media site. Beyonce, by comparison, has only 44.1 million fans, reports Time.
Although Beyonce currently isn’t the most followed celebrity on Instagram, it’s possible she might regain her status. On August 24, Time magazine reported that Beyonce only had 43,935,64 followers to Kardashian’s 44,005,604, but just two days after that article, Beyonce fans hustled to garner the singer enough follows to close the gap even further. While Beyonce has been at the top of Instagram for a while, Kim’s consistent posting and long, personal captions have permitted the reality star to surpass Beyonce, reports Time.
According to Hello! magazine, Beyonce has been making a splash on Instagram, despite losing her throne as the most popular Instagram celebrity. On August 21, Beyonce shared another family photo featuring the Queen Bey herself and her daughter, Blue Ivy. The Instagram photo shows the pair having fun in the sun on a mother/daughter boat ride as the pair wears matching swimsuits with a snakeskin print.

Blue Ivy looks adorable in her swimsuit as she tops her head with a red baseball hat, looking off into the distance in the Instagram snap. Beyonce is helping the little girl keep the hat on her head, and naturally looks stunning, as well, wearing an identical bathing suit and topping her long signature locks with a nautical-style hat. The “Single Ladies” singer succinctly captioned the Instagram snap with a heart emoticon, garnering over 1 million likes. Because who doesn’t love Blue Ivy?
Beyonce loves to share stories and told Oprah during a 2012 interview, “I wasn’t complete before my daughter,” reports Hello! During the same interview, Beyonce also confessed, “My story did not feel complete and I didn’t know why but… after I gave birth I looked at my diaries and everything made sense. Everything just completely connected and I said now I know who I am.”

In addition to the glimpse into her family life, Beyonce recently shared another Instagram snap: a throwback photo of Blue Ivy as a chubby-cheeked infant. In the Instagram pic, Beyonce looks stunning in a white designer dress, and her tresses are swept up into an Audrey Hepburn-style twist. Blue Ivy reveals how mischievous she must be as she adorably grins to someone off camera. Beyonce captioned the photo, “The real cover girl…My delicious Blue Blue at 11 months.” Beyonce fans certainly can’t wait to see what her daughter does next!
