Cops Uncover Nightmare Child Abuse, Drug-And-Rape Den In Home — Three Busted, One On The Loose

One man and two women are under arrest this week, and another man is charged but on the loose, after police in Jamestown, North Dakota were called for a domestic disturbance to a house at on 89th Ave. SE in the small city of about 15,000 — and found a real-life horror-movie scene of filth, drugs, and child abuse.

The house was owned by 38-year-old Irene Daniel (pictured above, right), but all four of the adults charged in the nightmare case lived there — along with two teenage girls, ages 15 and 16, and two infant children.

Also arrested were Demetrius Daniel Jr. (pictured above, center), 20, and 19-year-old Carrie Thu (pictured above, left). Still on the loose and sought by police is Dustin Maurice Meadows, pictured below, described as 21-years-old, standing 5’10” and weighing 262 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Police were called to the home August 3 by the father of Carrie Thu, who reported that the mother of homeowner Daniel had attacked his daughter. But as shocked as they were when they investigated and found a house that, according to a poice report “smelled strongly of urine and cigarette smoke,” when Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department Detective Sgt. Jason Falk questioned witnesses, he learned that the reason for the fight was even more sickening.

According to Falk’s account, as reported in The Bismarck Tribune, the conflict began because Daniel Jr. turned Thu down when the younger woman asked him to participate in a rape of the 15-year-old girl who also lived in the hellish home.

The pair, who may be parents to one of the infants in the home — though the familial relationships among the group of accused child abusers remain unclear — had allegedly sexually assaulted the young girl on several previous occasions, and the victim told police that Daniel first raped her when she was 12.

The home itself, in addition to the nauseating stench and layers of mold in the babies’ crib, was littered with trash and dirty diapers, with no food in the house and unwashed dished piled in the sink, police said.

But the depraved behavior of the home’s residents did not end there. Both infants in the house, who were removed and placed in care of the county, tested “extremely high” for both THC, which is the active ingredient in marijuana, as well as for methamphetamine, investigators said.

The potentially damaging or even deadly exposure to the drugs appears to have resulted from the adults in the home smoking marijuana and meth while in close proximity to the infants.

Reportedly, Demetrius Daniel Jr. has admitted to the sexual abuse of a child, the teen girl, but Carrie Thu has denied sexually assaulting the girl. Both face charges of “gross sexual imposition” and child endangerment. Daniel Jr. faces a 45-year sentence if convicted, Thu, 25 years. Dustin Meadows was charged Tuesday with child endangerment, and Irene Daniel, owner of the alleged drug-and-rape den, pleaded not guilty earlier this month to a series of drug charges.
