Ben Affleck Set For Rehab?

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have experienced a rocky few months since announcing their split, coupled with claims that Ben was involved in an affair with a former nanny of their three children. Although the verification that the couple were parting was only made known recently, trouble has plagued the couple’s marriage for some time, and the star duo had been considering divorce as far back as December 2014.

The turmoil is far from over, as reports suggest Affleck has been battling alcoholism. Yet throughout the trouble, Ben has worn his ring and maintained his innocence in regards to the rumored affair.

New rumors have been sparked that Garner is insistent on Ben getting the help he needs for his alcoholism. Claims have been made by sources close to the couple that Jen would like Ben to check into rehab if he intends to mend things, even on a small scale, with her and the children. Sources share that “Ben’s alcoholism has resurfaced and it is causing a wider rift in the family.”

According to OK! Magazine, the source explained, “Ben’s battle with alcoholism has been rearing its ugly head. Jen says he’s been drinking throughout the day.”

The publication then continues to note that the Batman v Superman actor’s addiction to the substance has reached new extremes since the nannygate rumors began making headlines. Affleck has sought help for his alcoholism in the past, when he was checked into rehab in Malibu back in 2001.

There is no evidence to the fact that Ben is taking Jen’s urgings seriously, as the father of three was recently spotted for the first time without his wedding ring. ET Online communicates the sighting of a ring-less Ben.

“[Affleck] ditched the ring while out and about in Los Angeles on Tuesday. An eyewitness tells ET that the 45-year-old actor also left his ring at home when he went on a family outing to Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark, California on Monday.”

While enjoying a day at the park, Ben was in the company of his three adorable children — Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3. The group was also accompanied by the children’s current nanny. Although the children are typically in their mother’s care at the family home, Garner has been on location in Atlanta shooting her latest film. Ben, therefore, has been staying at the home with the children while Jen finishes filming.
