Josh Duggar Has Checked Into Long-Term Treatment Center, Wife Anna Stays Strong And Supportive

It looks like Josh Duggar is getting the help that he needs to overcome his pornography addiction, and any other issues that made the reality star molest his sisters and ultimately cheat on his wife. The Duggar family has issued an official statement on their website saying that their son has checked into a long-term treatment center. He supposedly entered into rehab on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old former reality star had just recently been forced to fess up on his membership with the Ashley Madison website after it was hacked, and the list of names included his. Since then, he has admitted to cheating on wife Anna Duggar and had supposedly gone into hiding.

A “long-term” stay in a center such as this usually means that the person is there for at least 90 days, if not much longer than that. It all depends on how well they do with rehabilitation. Josh Duggar has been keeping these secrets for a long time now, so it could be a while before he is out.

In the family statement, the Duggars said that they are grieved by what their son has done to hurt himself, and especially his wife and four children. They also talk about how Josh’s bad choices have brought about negativity among the faith that they value so much.

“His wrong choices have deeply hurt his precious wife and children and have negatively affected so many others. He has also brought great insult to the values and faith we hold dear.”

The Duggar’s thank all of their supporters for their love and prayers. The family ask for continued prayers for everyone involved. It also sounds like Anna and the kids will be waiting for Josh when he gets out. In the meantime, the family is supporting her during this time.

“For him (Josh) it will be a long journey toward wholeness and recovery. We pray that in this he comes to complete repentance and sincere change. In the meantime, we will be offering our love, care and devoted support to Anna and our grandchildren as she also receives counsel and help for her own heart and future. During this time we continue to look to God — He is our rock and comfort.”

The family has not been seen in public since Josh admitted to being part of the Ashley Madison site. However, Us Magazine just posted a photo of Jim Bob Duggar running some errands around town on Tuesday. It looks like he has such a solemn expression on his face, which is quite expected considering the circumstances surrounding their eldest child.

Do you think that Josh Duggar will finally be able to get the help he needs?
