Cloaked Figure In Gastonia NC: Figure In Black Robe Goes Viral On Social Media

A cloaked figure in Gastonia, North Carolina, has caused quite a stir on social media. According to CNN, a photo of this cloaked figure was posted on Facebook after someone saw it standing outside of an apartment complex. Some people claim that the figure dumped “raw meat” near a playground, but they had no idea why. While no one has an explanation, people who have seen the photo are totally creeped out.

Social media users have been quick to take their guesses as to what exactly was going on, but no one has actually figured out the truth just yet.

The cloaked figure in Gastonia, North Carolina, could be anything from someone trying out a Halloween costume to someone practicing a Pagan ritual or trying to reenact a scene from Harry Potter. And while seeing people in strange outfits may not be that alarming, seeing someone dressed in a black robe, hanging near a playground, and dropping raw meat (keep in mind this isn’t confirmed) is just plain odd!

Police in the area have been notified of the odd sighting, but they don’t seem too alarmed.

“It could have come from anywhere. We don’t know if this is some bogus prank somebody is playing,” said Gastonia police spokeswoman Donna Lahser according local newspaper, the Gaston Gazette. A property manager had a similar response to the eerie photo.

“We don’t know if it’s one of our residents with an interesting way of presenting themselves, or if it’s a trespasser,” said Lance Calhoun, director of operations for Southwood Realty.

If the cloaked figure in Gastonia, North Carolina, appears again, police say that people should report it right away. While this person (or creature, if you’re into that sort of thing) may not be dangerous, the behavior seems suspect, and police would probably like to find some answers, just to put residents in the area at ease.

“I see why it could be easy to make a joke out of it, but this is serious. We live in a world today where you don’t know what’s going on and you don’t know people,” said one social media user.
