Taylor Swift Follows Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears On Social Media After Meet & Greet Comparisons

Why did you have to make things so complicated, Taylor Swift? The superstar followed Avril Lavigne on social media after comparing their meet and greet photos with fans and slamming her on Tumblr.

Taylor Swift, 25, is very cozy with her fans on Tumblr, a popular micro-blogging site. Some would say that Swift is a little too comfortable with her fans. Her Tumblr likes reveal that she’s really into her obsessed fan base as well as herself. Swift likes Tumblr posts of fans who compare her to Jesus Christ, the Dalai Lama, or Mother Theresa, and she just goes with it.

Well, the rest of the world seems to catching on to Taylor’s Tumblr. Avril Lavigne wasn’t happy when a fan revealed that the “Bad Blood” singer slammed her and other pop stars. Taylor innocently liked a photo of a fan who compared the country-turned-pop singer’s meet-and-greet photos with Avril, Britney Spears, Kanye West, and of course Katy Perry.

Lavigne took to Twitter to link the post and claim that Swift shouldn’t judge her peers.

She tweeted, “Comparison is judging and judging a person does not define who they are it defines who you are. We all Love our fans.”

Avril also tweeted a collage of photos with her fans. Taylor Swift has not yet responded taken to social media to address her thoughts on this new found feud.

However, that doesn’t mean Swift isn’t aware of what Lavigne said. As previously reported via celebrity gossip site Oh No They Didn’t!, the singer started following her peer on social media. It was reported that Swift started following both Avril Lavigne and Britney Spears on Twitter and Instagram.

The singer also started following her friend Zendaya on Twitter, as well. It looks like Taylor is feeling the heat from this recent backlash of attacking another one of her pop peers. In just less than a year, the singer has managed to get into feuds with Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, and Miley Cyrus.

Swift’s most notorious pop feud is the one that started the phrase “Bad Blood.” Now both fans and the media have been using the phrase when it comes to talking about feuding celebrities. It looks like Swift is now becoming known for having feuds with her peers rather than her high-profile relationships. But is that a good thing?

Maybe Taylor is feeling “forced” to make up for her mean girl ways. Just like the time when she apologized to Nicki Minaj after accusing the rapper of pitting women against each other, in light of the 2015 MTV VMA nominations.
