Justin Bieber Look-Alike Has Been Reported Missing In Hollywood

The man who claimed to have spent $100,000 on plastic surgery to look like Justin Bieber has been reported missing.

As previously reported by People, Tobias Strebel, 35, was last seen on August 18 in West Hollywood. The self-proclaimed Bieber look-alike has been reported missing by Strebel’s friend Ramuado Espinosa that same day, according to a Los Angeles Police Department official. Strebel was believed to have been driving a 2009 Toyota Camry.

“This is very unusual for him to be missing,” friend Mel Espinoza told ABC7. “He hasn’t done any, not shown up for no reason, no note or anything.”

The LAPD also told E! Online that Strebel’s disappearance might have been caused by his boyfriend breaking up with him. The police don’t consider Strebel’s disappearance to be a “critical missing” case as well since he’s not a minor and doesn’t suffer from a medical condition. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the LAPD.

Strebel’s photos went viral in 2013 when he revealed that he underwent multiple plastic surgeries for five years in the hopes of looking like Justin Bieber. According to Tobias, he underwent “smile surgery” so that his smile will resemble that of the pop star’s. The die-hard Bieber fanatic also had multiple botox injections and hair transplants within that five-year period. His efforts to look like Justin Bieber, however, made him an object of ridicule and criticisms by netizens and the media at large.

Tobias also appeared on E!‘s show Botched in 2014, where he said that his goal was to look like Justin Bieber when he was “really young.” Strebel, whose “ultimate dream” is to have a duet with Justin, was also showcased on the show recording his own music.

“What brought me to Bieber was a whole package: a full cheeks, a full temples, a splendid open eyes, a full palatable lips, and spatial framing…[he’s] only unusually beautiful.”

Even after all the money he spent on cosmetic surgery to look like Justin Bieber, Tobias told Maria Menounos of Untold that he’s not yet satisfied with what he’s accomplished so far.

“I would say I’m like 80 percent happy. I do think I can be one hundred percent happy if I just invest more time, effort and money into the face. I’m addicted to plastic surgery.”

According to Gawker, Tobias Strebel made the decision to undergo surgery in the hopes of resembling Justin Bieber when he was 25, right after noticing his aging face in the mirror.
