Lady Gaga: ‘RHOBH’ Bestie And American Horror Story

Lady Gaga has been one busy Mother Monster lately. Earlier this week, she was hosted by Barbara Streisand at a star-studded dinner party at Bab’s own home, Us Weekly reports. The shindig’s guest list included Ryan Murphy and John Travolta, and Gaga was all up on social media sharing her excitement with the world.

Gaga’s not done yet. In fact, she’s just getting started. People broke the story that she’s been spending an awful lot of the with RHOBH starlet Lisa Vanderpump this last month. Just Monday night, the duo was spotted outside PUMP, Vanderpump’s posh West Hollywood eatery. This isn’t the first time Lady Gaga and her new BFF have turned heads in the same locale. Earlier this month, eyebrows were raised when Gaga took a spill in front of the ever-diligent paparazzi that frequent the A-list establishment.

Rumors abounded that Lady Gaga might have been a little on the tipsy side when she tumbled, but Vanderpump was quick to come to her friend’s defense.

“We were both sober and that’s a sad situation – that she ended up in the gutter, at least go out with a big bang and be wasted, but no, she wasn’t.”

Gaga’s been in the entertainment headlines quite a bit lately. Most likely, this is due to her role on the much-anticipated upcoming season of American Horror Story: Hotel. This season features Gaga as Elizabeth, who is billed as “a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people.”

Cosmopolitan let fans know last week about a bloody pool party hosted by Lady Gaga. The party was an homage to her new role, which premieres on October 7, and the guest list included her nearest and dearest.

While the world waits with bated breath, Gaga continues her unique form of PR. She doesn’t have to directly advertise herself; just being herself advertises herself.

She’s loaded up on a bunch of recognizable new friends, has been seen out with one of reality TV’s biggest names, and is surrounding herself with old friends in a very public way to usher in her debut on one of TV’s most popular and notorious series. Simply put, Lady Gaga is doing what she does, and she’s doing it the way she does it.

Details of the new season of American Horror Story have remained mum, but then again, they usually do. One of the show’s biggest selling points (and arguably what keeps fans coming back for more) is the shock value. Nobody’s safe. Does the potential hit list include Lady Gaga? Only time will tell.

One thing’s for certain, the “Poker Face” singer is delighting in her new role and career path.

Gaga’s co-stars seem to be delighting in her, too.

Only time will tell if the Vanderpump affair and American Horror Story: Hotel will live up to the hype. Between now and then, we can expect to be seeing plenty of Lady Gaga; both on screen and in the media.
