First ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Celebrity Revealed Is Bindi Irwin, Will She Be Able To Wrestle The Dance Floor?

The first Dancing with the Stars celebrity was revealed on Monday on Good Morning America. The ABC news and entertainment show is always the lucky ones to reveal the whole cast of both celebrities and the dancers who will be teaching them their moves. GMA decided to reveal the very first person a little early.

It was finally revealed that the first person to officially join the cast is Bindi Irwin! This little Australian spitfire came out just as excited as she always is. She will make a wonderful addition to Season 21’s cast of celebrities.

Wildlife is what she loves the most, but this new challenge may give Bindi the love of dancing as well, as many others before her have said.

“I am really, really excited to be a part of this new journey. This is completely different than anything I have ever done in my life, I’m used to wrangling crocodiles!”

She mentioned that she had just finished up wrangling crocs just four days ago, and now she is ready to tackle the dance floor. It seems like this may be a piece of cake for her after wrestling crocs. She said that she has absolutely no dance experience, but that she has always admired the show. However, it was revealed that she did make a dancing video when she was just a little kid trying to promote fitness.

Bindi Irwin said that she hopes to inspire others to go out and make a difference and just go jump in to take the leap. What does the 17-year-old fear the most about being on Dancing with the Stars? She said that she fears being in front of the judges. You certainly can’t blame her.

Her dance partner has not been revealed just yet, but whoever she gets will be very lucky to have this girl from Down Under as his partner. Mark Ballas would be a fun pro partner for Bindi. He has done a great job in the past with younger celebrities such as Sadie Robertson. It is probably because he is just a kid at heart and it shows up in his dancing routines. Bindi just has two requests when it comes to whomever it is that will be teaching her to dance.

“I hope that my dance partner, whoever it is, is patient and likes animals.”

The pro dancers were announced last week, as reported by Us Weekly. They are Derek Hough, Peta Murgatroyd, Val Chmerkovskiy, Artem Chigventsev, Witney Carson, Karina Smirnoff, Mark Ballas, Allison Holker, and Sharna Burgess.
