Duggar Family: Josh’s Porn Addiction & Ashley Madison Accounts ‘Stun’ Parents — Will Anna Duggar Exit? [Video]

The Duggar family, headed by matriarch Michelle and patriarch Jim Bob Duggar, are described as stunned as new details of their son, Josh Duggar, and his secret life emerge. From infidelity to strippers to pornography, Josh is being portrayed as having become exactly the type of person that the Duggars shunned, reported People.

And an insider revealed that in addition to feeling “absolutely stunned” about Josh’s revelations that he had a pornography addiction and had cheated on his wife, Anna, Jim Bob and Michelle are confused by how their son turned into someone they don’t understand.

The heads of the now-cancelled 19 Kids And Counting family raised their children to be shielded from what they saw as the bad influences of the outside world, pointed out the insider. And that makes them even more baffled and bewildered by Josh’s confessions.

“This wasn’t something they ever imagined was possible,” revealed the source. “They so strictly limit their exposure to these sorts of outside influences – from websites to even the sort of television they watch, if they turn on the TV at all – that they were absolutely baffled by how this could have been possible.”

Following news that Josh had joined Ashley Madison, the site famed for helping those who want to cheat on their spouses, Josh joined Jim Bob and Michelle in posting statements on the family’s website.

However, the 27-year-old’s remarks later were edited to remove part of the confession.

In his original confession, however, Josh revealed his pornography addiction as well as his infidelity.

“I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife,” stated Duggar.

He described himself as living a double life, and Josh said he was grieving for the disgrace and pain that he was aware he had inflicted both on Anna and his family.

Duggar also brought up the recently publicized news that he had molested five underage girls when he was a teenager, including his sisters Jessa (Duggar) Seewald and Jill (Duggar) Dillard.

“I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust,” reflected Josh, who asked for forgiveness and prayers.

Michelle and Jim Bob also asked for prayers and revealed that they felt heartbroken over the news.

The insider emphasized that the experience has made Josh’s parents more attuned to their religion.

“They are turning 100 percent to God and prayer and their church community to help them through this. Their faith is in no way rocked by this,” added the source.

But the insider also shared that Michelle and Jim Bob feel that the Josh who now has been revealed to the world is unrecognizable.

“They just don’t know who this person is who could have done this,” stated the source. “It’s like he’s a completely different person from who they thought he was.”

What does the future hold for Josh, who tried to regain acceptance from the world after the news of the molestation broke by posting family pictures such as birthdays on social media?

But now, the source opined that Josh has put himself in a position where a comeback would be almost impossible.

“He’s ruined. It will be such a steep and practically impossible climb to come back from this.”

With all this in mind, what happens to Josh’s wife Anna and their four children?

“Divorce is not even something that will be discussed,” said a family insider.

Instead, that source predicts that the couple’s marriage will survive.

“This will be seen as a test, and they – all four of them – will be determined not to fail,” added the source.

But although Josh’s full confession on the Duggar family site has since been heavily edited, a new secret has been revealed by Radar Online.

Josh also allegedly used the name Joe Smithson for a fake Facebook profile. The account is linked to the email address Josh is rumored to have utilized for Ashley Madison, and the friends of Smithson range from strippers to lingerie models.

As for the Ashley Madison connection, Josh had paid nearly $1,000 for two separate accounts, reported the New Yorker.

In addition, Duggar paid $250 for an “affair guarantee” fee.

As the Inquisitr reported, Anna had revealed that she was aware that Josh had molested the underage girls prior to their marriage. Josh told her what had happened two years before he married her.

“I was surprised at his openness and humility and at the same time didn’t know why he was sharing it. For Josh, he wanted not just me but my parents to know who he really was – even very difficult past mistakes.”
