Taco Bell Customers Get An Extra Gross Ingredient In Their Nachos

Two Taco Bell customers from Florida got an extra and unwanted ingredient in their nachos, and the find was something that would turn just about anyone’s stomach.

The customers say they found a full-length fingernail in their Taco Bell nachos, and the sight of the French-tip acrylic lying in the chips and beans was enough to make the woman sick, according to Fox 4 News.

Kailynn Roland was the woman who used to love Taco Bell nachos, so she and her boyfriend made a late night trip to Taco Bell to get a last minute snack. They went through the drive-thru on Monday night, and right away, things started off wrong.

The Taco Bell in the Lake Wales area replaced the wrong order with the right order. Rowland and her boyfriend, Joseph Richardson, got the triple-layered nachos they originally ordered.

After much of the nachos was already eaten, they found the fingernail in the bottom of the nachos. “It’s gross. I puked,” Roland said.

The couple took the issue back to Taco Bell to show them the fingernail. According to the Palm Beach Post, the two horrified customers asked the Taco Bell manager to give them the phone number to the corporate office, but the manager gave them the wrong phone number. Richardson was appalled by the treatment they got at the Taco Bell.

“I was a manager at a McDonald’s for four years. If we had anything like this happen — right then, right there, when they called back in — we would have shut service down and investigated it.”

Eventually, the disgusted customers talked to the corporate office after the office called the couple once the story broke on the media and the media called Taco Bell. Taco Bell’s corporate office said it offered the couple $40 in gift cards, but Roland says they want nothing to do with the gift cards. Taco Bell claims Richardson accepted the gift cards.

Richardson says he never took the gift cards and doubted he’d ever visit that Taco Bell location again after finding a fingernail in the nachos.

“Probably never again, and if I do eat at a Taco Bell, it will not be at this location. One of the things I’d really like is an apology from the Taco Bell corporation.”

The Taco Bell corporate office claims it is investigating the incident after the Florida couple found the extra gross ingredient in their nachos and will retrain its employees if necessary.
