‘Star Wars’ Toy Reveals New ‘The Force Awakens’ Character [Spoiler]
Though the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens is still months away, the image of one of the toys associated with the film has leaked, revealing a hitherto unknown character from the next episode in the saga.
[Spoilers Follow]
When it comes to leaks regarding The Force Awakens, nothing is completely sacred. As the Inquisitr has previously reported, images of action figures associated with the next Star Wars film have already made their way online, giving fans an insight into certain characters new to the series, and hinting at the return of several from the original movies (whether in a new form, or in a flashback). A new leaked image from a toy catalog, however, has revealed to fans the existence of a previously unknown character, weeks in advance of the first official toy release.

While most leaks have been relatively minor, the newest one reveals a character that has been hardly discussed in the lead-up to The Force Awakens. The image in question depicts a First Order flametropper, as well as Finn (from his time on Jakku). Standing next to them, however, is a new character by the name of Constable Zuvio.

As Yahoo News points out, Zuvio appears to be a character that also features in the Jakku scenes in The Force Awakens. Though his design hearkens back to some of the costumes from the original Star Wars trilogy, Zuvio looks to be an unpleasant adversary for the film’s heroes. Return of the Jedi featured Princess Leia appearing as Boushh, a similarly styled character, however, so all bets are off when it comes to Zuvio’s allegiances and true nature in The Force Awakens.

The toy reveal comes ahead of Force Friday, set to take place on September 4. As Slashfilm reports, the event represents the first official release of toys and merchandise associated with The Force Awakens. Though the image is hardly the first piece of information to emerge ahead of the official release of the newest Star Wars film, it is significant in that the character of Zuvio hasn’t been mentioned in any other officially sanctioned source in the lead-up to The Force Awakens.

Though fans will no doubt wonder for the next few months about who Constable Zuvio actually is, their questions will all be answered on December 18 when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters.
