Anna Duggar Divorce: Jim Bob And Michelle Reportedly Pressuring Anna To Stay With Josh
Anna Duggar is under pressure to divorce husband Josh after the revelation that he was a member of the dating site Ashley Madison, but sources say she may also be facing pressure from members of the 19 Kids and Counting family to stand by her man.
Anna has been caught up in a string of controversies surrounding her husband, starting with the revelation several weeks ago that, as a teen, Josh had inappropriate contact with a number of young girls, including his own sisters. Anna chose to stand by Josh, issuing a public statement that Josh had already admitted to the transgressions and they had worked through it.
She has been much more silent in recent days after it was revealed that Josh Duggar paid to be a member of the site Ashley Madison, which promotes infidelity among its married members. Josh released a statement admitting to being a member and also being addicted to pornography.
“I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife. I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.”
Many fans are encouraging Anna Duggar to divorce her husband, leaving supportive messages and attacking her husband for his behavior.

But People magazine reported that she is also under pressure from Josh’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, to remain in her marriage.
“Anna will not leave him. As with her in-laws, she is turning more to her faith than ever. She and Josh are probably praying around the clock right now, I would assume,” the source said. “No way is she leaving him.”
The source added that it would not come as a surprise if “on some level” Anna tries to “absorb some of the blame.”
“Maybe not publicly, ever, but privately, there will be some suggestion of whether or not she should have been more aware of the pressures Josh was under, of the issues he was facing, and how she could have better counseled him or helped him,” the insider added.
Divorce could be a difficult subject for Anna Duggar. She and her husband adhere to a strict and very conservative Christian faith, one that discourages divorce. The People magazine source said it appears Anna has no plans to leave Josh right now.
