American Idol is down to the top three with the final female contestant Allison Iraheta going home this evening.
The final four eviction show May 6 featured performances from No Doubt and Paul Adbul, but it was the elimination as always that was the center of attention. Before starting, host Ryan Seacrest noted that there had been 64 million votes cast this week, more than any non-final Idol week in the show’s history.
Kris Allen was the first contestant to be told he was safe, leaving three contestants for two spots. Adam Lambert had the next safe call, a great recovery from his bottom three last week. Then it came down to Danny Gokey and Allison, with Allison being shown the door.
The results haven’t been well received online, with fans calling the decision wrong and BS.

I'm for both Danny and Allison.. Too bad they have to choose between the two.. Anyways, Allison was able to show how talented she was.. That's already a great achievement because a lot really love her, including me.. Don't worry Allison, you are always a great singer for us… Congratulations to the finalists..

I Have to say …Kris has to be out and not Allison..because her performances was better than Kris ones…..my opinion…i really like Kris but ..i think it was unfair! Allison if u ever read this ….ur so great…i can´t find words for you..ur awesome ..and i hope the whole wide world will see U soon. And im pretty sure that the next who has to leave will be Kris…then Danny and the winner will be Adam …this 2 guys Adam and Danny are soooo great ..but for me The Real Winner of American Idol 8 is DANNY GOKEY ..and pls America vote for him!!!!! Adam is great2 but im not really a big rock fan …and adam got a big rock voice 4sure ..but Danny got a overall voice u know!!!! so pls pls pls give all ur calls to danny gokey …….Danny …ur voice is terrific…greets from Germany and sorry if i had some word mistakes in here.

kris was the one to be sent home last night what a bs i dont care for american idol anymore allison was the under dog even younger showed more than the older contestants I give her all the credit she is so talented i wish you the best
