Leah Messer Admits To Suicidal Thoughts On ‘Teen Mom 2’

Leah Messer has been struggling both with her marriage to Jeremy Calvert and with her ongoing custody battle with Corey Simms during Teen Mom 2 Season 6, and last night, things took a turn for the worse. After Leah Messer was served with divorce papers in a grocery store parking lot, she spoke to a friend, revealing just how bad things had gotten.

On August 20, Us Weekly shared Leah Messer’s shocking comments.

“I can’t ever get down because I have three kids that need me. [Jeremy and I] see each other for 12 hours every week — have sex, go to sleep, then he leaves… I feel like I’ve been pushed to an edge where I could care less whether I’m here or not, and that’s not okay. I don’t care about myself.”

During the episode, Leah Messer has gotten so down and out on herself that she’s considering going to rehab for “intense therapy.”

“I would come back and be a brand new person. I’ve never taken time for myself before. I got pregnant at 16, had twins, one with a disability. Do I regret getting pregnant so young? Absolutely. But I would never take that back. I wouldn’t have done anything different with Jeremy. That’s where I wanted to be the rest of my life.”

Leah Messer later reveals her plans for treatment to her husband Jeremy, but sadly, he’s still set on divorcing her and claims even if she does complete rehab, their divorce is still on.

Leah Messer married Calvert in 2012 and welcomed her third child, Adalynn, now 2, in February 2013. Then, in late 2014, Calvert claimed Leah Messer cheated on him with Robbie Kidd, the same man she admitted to cheating with on her first husband, Corey Simms. Although Leah Messer immediately denied the allegations on Twitter and Calvert’s tweets were later deleted, he reportedly filed papers to end their marriage the following month.

Leah Messer and Calvert’s divorce was finalized in June while she was seeking treatment in a Utah rehab facility.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Leah Messer was labeled as a “pill popper Teen Mom” ahead of last night’s episode. Along with a clip of the episode, Radar Online claimed Leah Messer was possibly dealing with a “prescription pain killer” problem, although Leah Messer claims her issues stem from depression and stress.
