Malala Yousafzai Aces GCSE Exams, Could You Answer The Math Questions?

Malala Yousafzai — who was shot by the Taliban for being a vocal education for girls advocate — has aced her GCSE exams. Could you answer some of the questions that appear in the difficult test?

With her GCSE exam results, Malala Yousafzai is proving that not only is she a fierce proponent of education for girls all over the world, but she leads by example. The resilient 18-year-old who has been through more than most her age has literally aced her tests.

Her dad, Ziauddin Yousafzai, tweeted the results Friday, saying that he and his wife were proud of their daughter, according to Mashable. Malala scored A*s in maths, biology, chemistry, physics, and religious studies while getting As for history, geography, and English.

“My wife Toor Pekai and I are proud of Malala getting 6A*s and 4As. #education for every child,” Malala’s dad said.

The GCSE exams are internationally recognized tests taken by secondary school students in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland over two years. Malala Yousafzai is now studying at Edgbaston High School in Birmingham, England.

When she was 11-years-old, Malala — who lived in Pakistan then — wrote a blog under a pseudonym telling of what life was like under the rule of the Taliban. The following year, she was interviewed by the New York Times about her life and became a prominent figure in the fight to bring education to girls in the region who normally have a difficult time attending school.

On October 9, 2012, Malala Yousafzai boarded her school bus. A gunman asked for her by name and then shot her multiple times. The girl was in critical condition for days and was ultimately transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for intensive rehabilitation. The Taliban vowed to murder her and her family, who now live in exile.

News of Malala Yousafzai’s GCSE exam results have once again brought international attention to the teen, who, for her advocacy for education, became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014. She has also received several honorary titles and recognition from prestigious educational institutions around the globe.

Malala Yousafzai GCSE exam results are the latest accomplishment in her very young life. Despite suffering serious injuries in the attack that almost claimed her life, she continues to advocate for girls’ education. Take the sample math test to see if you could pass it.
