Jennifer Aniston’s New Ring: Actress Shows Off Diamond Band, Talks About Keeping Wedding Plans Secret

Jennifer Aniston showed off her new wedding ring in the first red carpet appearance since her secret wedding to Justin Theroux, and the actress is opening up about how the couple was able to keep the world from finding out about their plan.

Aniston showed up to the premiere of her new movie, She’s Funny That Way, in Los Angeles on Wednesday. At the event, all eyes were on Jen’s new ring, a beautiful gold and diamond band.

The band was made by ring designer (and Jen’s good friend) Jennifer Meyer, E! Online noted. The outlet also shared some details about the wedding’s exclusive guest list.

“Meyer, who’s married to actor Tobey Maguire, was one of Jennifer’s many close friends on hand at her Aug. 5 nuptials, which took place at her sprawling estate in Los Angeles. The celeb studded event featured friends like Ellen DeGeneres, Courteney Cox, Rachel McAdams, Howard Stern in attendance.”

Mark Keeney, vice president of marketing at jewelry company Ritani, told Hollywood Life that Jennifer Aniston’s new ring likely wasn’t cheap.

“Jennifer’s ring is a channel-set wedding band, most likely in 18kt yellow gold,” he said. “A very traditional choice, with the channel setting designed to protect the diamond’s edges from wear and tear. The actual value will depend on the quality of the diamonds – but given this recipient this is likely in the upper end of $10,000-15,000.”

The ring is getting plenty of praise from experts as well.

“I think this is a perfect representation of Jen’s laid back, active style — she could wear this style anywhere, to yoga, to the beach, etc,” Brooke Brinkman, vice president at Simon G. Jewelry, told Hollywood Life. “I think this is a great option for women who want to wear something which represents their marriage status without breaking out the big bling — she can save it for special occasions, like awards shows now! We are seeing the trend of wearing only the band catch on – Reese Witherspooon wears only a thin diamond band and Angelina Jolie was recently spotted at the Kid’s Choice Award with only a band.”

Aside from showing off her new wedding ring, Jennifer Aniston also talked about how she and Justin were able to keep their plans secret amid the intense eyes of tabloids searching over every detail of their private lives.

Aniston explained to Good Morning America that she and Justin told the guests they were coming over for Justin’s birthday party, then surprised them with a wedding.

“Where there is a will, there is a way,” she told the show, via USA Today, “and it was (a birthday party).”
