WhatsApp Web Comes To iPhone, WhatsApp 2.12.95 Download Available For Nokia

WhatsApp Web is finally coming to the iPhone. The handy feature that allows you to send messages to your contacts from your computer is finally arriving to some of Apple’s popular iPhones.

The exciting news has been revealed on the WhatsApp website’s list of supported devices. It was only available for Android, BlackBerry, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40/S60, and Windows Phone users, as of last year. WhatsApp Web wasn’t available for iPhone users at the time “due to Apple platform limitations.” Now it looks like this problem has been solved since iPhone users can finally gain access to this feature.

A WhatsApp user on Reddit broke the news about the menu option on their iPhone, which allows users to set up desktop messaging. In addition, WhatsApp VP Neeraj Arora retweeted the following message on Wednesday, Aug. 19.

To see if the feature is available on your phone, sign into WhatsApp, head over to your settings and look for WhatsApp Web on the list. Not everyone has access to the feature yet since its being switched on in its initial stages. Those who have the new WhatsApp features may see it turned on, while others may still have to wait.

It should be known that WhatsApp Web is not a standalone app. Mobile users must visit this website to scan the barcode. After that, your phone will “mirror” the conversations on your phone in real time. The messages will stay on your phone at all times. However, if the call drops, then the web client will stop working.

This feature is still in the works since support for pairing your iPhone with your computer is still rolling out. This feature does require the latest version of WhatsApp Web, although the most recent version released earlier this month doesn’t specifically state this feature.

WhatsApp Web isn’t just available for iPhone users. Those who use Microsoft Edge browser should expect to use the Web version very soon. Microsoft users asked for a PC version, so WhatsApp released a Web version instead. However, the Web version only worked on Google Chrome at the moment. Overtime, more support browsers were introduced, such as Firefox and Opera.

Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browser users may not have to wait much longer for the Web version. It’s been rumored that WhatsApp is working with Microsoft Edge, which was recently launched with Windows 10. Although it hasn’t been confirmed when the update will be made available, it should come soon but only those who use Microsoft Edge on Windows 10.

Meanwhile, the WhatsApp 2.12.95 download is available for the Nokia Asha and similar devices that run on Symbian S40 like the Nokia C3. This update was released to correct any bugs or issues found in the previous versions of WhatsApp for Nokia Asha and S40 phones. Since it’s currently in BETA, users can only download the latest version from the WhatsApp website for Nokia phones.

It’s been previously reported via the Inquisitr, that the BETA version of WhatsApp allows users to save their messages and content onto Google Drive. However, some users also complained that this backup feature would momentarily disappear from the application. It should also be noted that there are different versions of the WhatsApp BETA download floating around, although they seem to provide the same bug fixes and features.
